Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Technical Product Manager to help scale the core IoT and SaaS platforms that power our retail software solutions across edge devices and cloud services.

Open to candidates within the Frisco, TX or Raleigh-Durham, NC Area

This role owns product direction for core platform capabilities including IoT device management, SaaS platform management, operational tooling, and platform readiness. These capabilities support the deployment and operation of retail software solutions across edge devices and cloud services.

The focus is on enabling scalable growth by reducing cost to serve and operational effort as deployments expand. This includes improving deployment and onboarding efficiency, increasing automation, and enabling more efficient operation of distributed solutions spanning edge devices and SaaS platform services. The role also drives sustainable platform evolution by making informed tradeoffs across scalability, reliability, operability, and long-term platform maintainability within a globally deployed, cloud-connected solution portfolio.

The Technical Product Manager works closely with engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure the platform evolves in ways that support scalable deployments, operational efficiency, and long-term platform sustainability. This role requires strong technical fluency, systems thinking, and the ability to balance scalability, reliability, and usability as the platform grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and prioritize platform product capabilities across IoT device management, SaaS platform services, and operational tooling.
  • Own and maintain the platform roadmap and backlog, aligning platform investments with product, operational, and business priorities.
  • Drive platform capabilities and automation that reduce onboarding time, operational effort, and cost to serve as deployments scale
  • Partner with engineering leadership to evaluate technical constraints, drive platform tradeoffs, and prioritize improvements that enhance scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Translate user, operational, and business needs into clear, actionable platform requirements
  • Contribute to SaaS platform management capabilities that enable:
  • Secure system configuration
  • Access and permissions management
  • Operational visibility and system health monitoring
  • Day-to-day platform management at scale
  • Represent the needs of internal platform users, including operations, customer success, and product teams
  • Support platform readiness across hybrid deployments (on-prem and cloud), with emphasis on scalable platform design
  • Collaborate across teams and geographies, bringing clarity and structure to complex or ambiguous problem spaces

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in product management or technical product roles
  • Experience working on SaaS platforms, IoT systems, or cloud-based products
  • Experience managing or supporting hybrid deployments (on-prem and cloud) with attention to scalability and operational readiness
  • Strong ability to write clear, actionable requirements and break down complex systems into manageable components
  • Technical fluency sufficient to engage deeply with engineering teams and reason about system-level tradeoffs
  • Ability to understand how platform decisions impact scalability, performance, and operational footprint over time
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Self-motivated and effective in cross-functional, globally distributed environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting internal-facing platforms or operational tooling
  • Familiarity with SaaS delivery models and cloud-based systems
  • Exposure to analytics, observability, or platform monitoring tools
  • Experience working in scaling or growth-stage SaaS environments
  • Experience with retail technology or other operationally constrained enterprise environments, with an understanding of on-prem realities, legacy systems, and the practical limitations common in retail deployments
