Job Overview
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager with a proven track record in managing data management and analytics projects. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in agile practices and a strong technical foundation in data integration, data warehousing, and visualization tools. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and client stakeholders, to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Execution: Define project scope, deliverables, and timelines for data-focused initiatives, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Agile Practices: Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, fostering an iterative, transparent, and collaborative environment.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams (data engineers, analysts, and developers) and client stakeholders to manage expectations and deliverables.
  • Risk Management: Identify, track, and mitigate risks to ensure project success and high-quality outcomes.
  • Technical Oversight: Understand and provide input on data pipelines, data modeling, ETL processes, and business intelligence reporting tools.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update clients and internal leadership on project status, challenges, and accomplishments.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously enhance delivery practices, incorporating lessons learned and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of project management experience in data management, data analytics, or software development projects.
  • Strong understanding of data management concepts, including data integration, data warehousing, and data visualization.
  • Proficiency in agile project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar project management platforms.
  • Familiarity with technical tools such as Snowflake, DBT, Power BI, or similar.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP, or SAFe).
  • Experience working in consulting or client-facing roles.
  • Technical background in ETL tools, data modeling, or SQL development.
  • Familiarity with hybrid project management approaches that blend agile with milestone-based phases.
