About Canals

Canals is a fully remote, profitable startup transforming the industrial supply chain ($10T industry) with AI. Our platform seamlessly integrates with the systems distributors already use, automating tedious tasks and reducing failure points in moving physical goods across the globe.

We’re a 70-person team (~45 in engineering), located across North and South America.

The Role

We’re hiring a Technical Recruiter to help scale our world-class engineering and product teams. Our customer base — and the complexity of our platform — is expanding quickly, and we need someone who can build strong pipelines of exceptional talent to keep up.

You’ll partner directly with hiring managers and leadership to execute recruiting strategies across engineering (backend, frontend, DevOps, ML/AI) and product (design, management, and more). This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves finding and closing top talent, and wants to play a hands-on role in shaping a growing company.

What You’ll Do
  • Own full-cycle recruiting for technical and product roles: sourcing, screening, managing interviews, and closing offers.

  • Build and maintain a steady pipeline of qualified candidates through creative sourcing and outbound strategies.

  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, craft outreach strategies, and calibrate on talent quality.

  • Manage candidate experience end-to-end — ensuring every interaction reflects Canals’ culture of transparency, excellence, and ownership.

  • Use data to track pipeline health, conversion rates, and hiring velocity to continuously improve process.

  • Represent Canals authentically to the market, telling our story in a way that excites top technical talent.

What You'll Bring
  • Typically, 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, either in-house or at an agency, with a strong track record of delivering hires.

  • Exceptional sourcing ability — you know how to create smart searches, filter effectively, and identify great talent efficiently.

  • Strong communication and selling skills — you can engage, qualify, and close candidates in competitive markets.

  • Experience recruiting for technical roles (software engineering, machine learning, DevOps, product, design).

  • Comfortable managing multiple requisitions and building consistent pipeline momentum in a fast-moving environment.

  • Proactive, process-oriented, and collaborative — you take ownership, deliver results, and make the team better.

Why Join Canals
  • We're profitable: stability without the chaos of venture pivots.

  • Real-world impact: your work improves global supply chains, saving customers time and reducing waste.

  • Strong engineering culture: we invest in quality and documentation to keep moving fast sustainably.

  • Culture of ownership: moving fast while putting quality first

  • Remote-first, flexible work environment across North and South America.

  • Stellar product-market fit with tons of customer love

  • All star team with diverse backgrounds to collaborate with and learn from
