The Opportunity

As a dedicated Technical Sourcer, you will be responsible for identifying, investigating and selecting direct and indirect sources for technology job candidate talent pools based on strategic business needs. You will create talent pipelines to ensure staffing needs are pro-actively positioned for current and future business requests. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain ongoing relationships and partnerships with hiring leaders, candidate pools, peer partners, and third-party vendors to deliver candidates for USAA's hiring needs.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week.

This position can be based in one of the following office locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, or Charlotte, NC.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

  • Consults with management and cross-functional teams when implementing sourcing strategies to proactively identify candidates and assemble diverse pipeline of talent for niche jobs.

  • Defines, designs, and executes sourcing strategies to align with overarching hiring strategy. Identifies top prospects and provides the information to respective recruiters.

  • Develops and maintains ongoing relationships and partnerships with candidates, peer partners, and third-party vendors to deliver candidates for business hiring needs.

  • Creates and implements highly impactful sourcing strategies that result in quality submittals and hires. Utilizes a variety of sourcing channels, competitive research and other technologies to attract candidates with targeted experience and skills.

  • Stays current on business and recruiting trends that may impact the hiring process or talent pools. Advises recruiters and hiring managers on the competitive landscape for attracting talent based on market data and research.

  • Builds on the current candidate experience concept and introduces creative ideas to actively engage candidates. Leverages market intelligence to identify, target, and contact passive candidates, presenting opportunities and conveying the USAA employee value proposition for attraction and potential hire.

  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree; 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

  • 6 or more years' experience in recruitment search or sourcing, either full cycle corporate or agency recruitment to include developing and executing creative and innovative solutions using a variety of tools and technology.

  • Experience communicating employment value proposition, with emerging and passive talent audiences, to generate and champion interest.

  • Experience with advancing networking, candidate generation and passive/active sourcing methodologies.

What sets you apart:

  • Advanced experience sourcing for technical roles, including architecture, software engineering, infrastructure, data, cybersecurity, or other specialized talent areas.

  • Strong expertise in Boolean search, talent mapping, and proactive sourcing strategies to engage passive candidates.

  • Solid understanding of technical skill sets and the ability to partner with hiring managers on profile calibration and search strategy.

  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS/CRM systems, and other sourcing tools to build and manage high-quality talent pipelines.

  • Ability to use market insights, sourcing data, and outreach metrics to improve pipeline quality and hiring outcomes.

  • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $93,770.00 - $179,240.00.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

 

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
