About the role
The Telecom Consultant, will play a key role in supporting the delivery of mission-critical telecom design projects at Ares. This position is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end telecom design process on assigned projects while driving production efficiency across the design team.
You will collaborate closely with professional designers and project managers, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with defined scopes of work, schedules, quality standards, and client expectations. This role requires a hands-on technical contributor who can also provide leadership, coordination, and quality oversight within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
What you'll do
- Assist on implementing Designer and Project Manager designs in Revit format
- Successful delivery of assigned Telecom projects (as needed)
- Work with live and local Revit models and assist on creating families
- Attending project meetings with the team to review progress and deadlines
- BIM Coordination with MEP trades and our models
- Be able to use Bluebeam to do markups and gather markup information from team members
- Attend project meetings with design team members
- Quality Control for the output of design document(s) prior to sending out projects to Project Mangers
- Assist other team members when needed to complete projects & have productive communication with all team members
Qualifications
- Technical or Associates Degree from an accredited institution
- 4 or more years of experience actively designing low voltage and communication systems for buildings
- Familiarity and demonstrated knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards
- Experience with Revit software
- Self-motivation to coordinate with other disciplines and clients as necessary
- Credentials as an RCDD or working towards this title (preferred)
- Electrical Engineering degree, or related discipline (preferred)
