Test Automation Architect

You will make an impact: 

The Test Automation Architect will be a core member of eClinical Solutions R&D Team. The Test Automation Architect will be primarily responsible for evolution of framework and infrastructure, training the team, auditing test script code, tool usage, monitoring reports and following up on discrepancies. In addition, the Automation Architect will provide training and technical leadership to the local Team & work closely with the global automation team on project-level initiatives. This position will report to the Director, Software Quality Assurance.

Your day to day:

• Capability to build a Test automation framework from scratch.
• Participate in and lead as necessary framework and infrastructure evolution as part of a global SQA automation team.
• Hands-on experience in automating web-based application testing with Selenium WebDriver, auditing test script code for accuracy and adherence to established coding standards as well as usage and configuration.
• Reviewing test reports and following up on discrepancies
• Training new hires to use the framework effectively, follow established process, and coding standards.
• Good knowledge of test framework design and tools such as Cucumber or Reqnroll
• Experience in Behavior-Driven Development and Gherkin specifications
• Proficient in using source control systems like Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Azure Dev Ops/TFS.
• Good knowledge of Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and build management tools.
• Cooperation with other development teams, functional teams and numerous stakeholders of the project, as appropriate for the area of work.

 Qualifications:

• BE Computer Science and/or equivalent.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English.
• Strong understanding of QA concepts, testing techniques, automation tools and technologies.
• 8 - 15 years of technical hands-on experience working with automation frameworks and tools.
• Strong in one of the following programming languages: C#, Python, Java
• Expertise in designing and implementing parallel testing capabilities with Selenium automation including code, tools, and infrastructure.
• Exposure to BDD, Reqnroll, Cucumber
• Should possess knowledge of popular and emerging open source/commercial tools automation tools and their technology stacks.
• Should have expertise in automation frameworks, continuous Integration tools (TeamCity) and infrastructure for automation solutioning.
• Need to serve as an expert in identifying suitable technologies, tools or automation frameworks, in line with latest industry trends including cloud, ML technologies, codeless automation etc.
• To have competencies around DevOps, Continuous Testing, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
• Ability to study, understand and propose efficient test automation solutions and create state of the art assets.
• Experience in providing end-to-end technical support for testing engagements.
• Should have great presentation and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to provide technology leadership for enhancing test automation capability at organization level.
• Automation Skills: Framework Development, Selenium with C# or Java
• Programming Languages: PL/SQL, C#, Core Java
• Databases: SQL, Oracle
