Job Overview:

The Timekeeping Coordinator II ensures accurate and timely payroll processing for multiple Primoris Energy Services projects by meticulously managing time entries, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining compliance with company policies and labor laws. This role is critical in supporting efficient project operations across various locations.
Responsibilities:**
* Process and verify employee timecards and hours worked for multiple projects and locations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies, collective bargaining agreements, and state/federal labor laws.
* Review, audit, and reconcile time entries against project schedules, work orders, and attendance records to identify and resolve discrepancies, working closely with project managers and supervisors.
* Input, update, and maintain employee data in timekeeping and payroll systems, including new hires, terminations, transfers, and changes in pay rates or deductions.
* Generate and distribute various timekeeping reports, including daily labor reports, weekly summary reports, and exception reports, for management review and project cost analysis.
* Act as a primary point of contact for employees and supervisors regarding timekeeping inquiries, policy clarifications, and system support.
* Ensure proper coding of hours to specific projects, cost codes, and activities for accurate job costing and billing.
* Assist with the preparation and submission of certified payroll reports and other compliance documentation as required by project contracts or regulatory bodies.
* Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure seamless transmission of timekeeping data and resolve any payroll-related issues promptly.
* Train new supervisors and employees on timekeeping procedures and system usage.
* Participate in month-end and year-end close activities related to timekeeping and payroll.
* Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee and company information.
Qualifications:**
* High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
* 3+ years of experience in timekeeping, payroll, or human resources administration, preferably within the construction, energy, or field services industry.
* Proficiency with timekeeping software (e.g., JD Edwards, SAP, Procore, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (intermediate to advanced skills).
* Strong understanding of federal and state wage and hour laws, including overtime regulations, meal/rest breaks, and prevailing wage requirements.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with a proven ability to manage high volumes of data and meet tight deadlines.
* Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve timekeeping discrepancies.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees, supervisors, and other departments.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and integrity.
* Experience with multi-location timekeeping and union payroll preferred.
