About the Role

As a Trading Operations Engineer at Da Vinci, you’ll work closely with a team of skilled traders, researchers and software engineers. You’ll be responsible for managing our trading systems, making sure they run smoothly in day-to-day operations, with future growth in mind.

As our trading systems are highly customized, balancing stability with ongoing change is one of the key challenges in this job. Our engineers often need to learn on the go, so we are looking for people who enjoy exploring unfamiliar territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee system performance, stability and uptime
  • Automate the environment and test new technology fads
  • Architect, implement, maintain and monitor our rapidly growing US production environment
  • Manage applications in production, and monitor their behavior
  • Address potential failures and bottlenecks to proactively prevent obstacles

Requirements:

  • Experience managing mission-critical infrastructure and software support (in a trading environment is a plus)
  • Intimate knowledge of networking, hardware and OSs (Windows, Linux)
  • Familiar with tooling and best practices regarding change, life cycle and incident management, as well as health and performance monitoring of production systems
  • Proficient with scripting (e.g., bash, python)
  • Quick at analyzing issues and uncovering their root causes
  • Eager to learn and understand all aspects of the trading environment
  • Ability to spot inefficiencies and proactive in optimizing systems
  • Strong communications skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
