Position Summary

The Training and Development Strategist is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving learning strategies that strengthen client organizations and support KenKor 360’s consulting engagements. This role combines instructional design, organizational development, capacity building, and strategic planning to create practical, mission-aligned training solutions for nonprofit and social impact clients. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, strong writer, facilitator, and systems thinker who can translate complex operational, legal, and compliance concepts into clear, engaging learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess organizational learning and capacity-building needs across client engagements and internal firm initiatives.

  • Design training strategies, curricula, workshops, toolkits, and learning resources that align with client goals, regulatory expectations, and operational priorities.

  • Develop and facilitate training on topics such as governance, compliance, operational effectiveness, legal process support, documentation practices, risk awareness, and organizational systems.

  • Partner with consultants, attorneys, paralegals, and client stakeholders to translate subject matter expertise into accessible, high-quality learning content.

  • Create instructor-led, virtual, hybrid, and self-paced learning experiences for diverse adult learners.

  • Establish learning objectives, evaluation methods, and feedback loops to measure training effectiveness and support continuous improvement.

  • Support change management and adoption efforts by helping clients build internal knowledge, confidence, and sustainable practices.

  • Contribute to proposal development, service design, and thought leadership related to training, workforce development, and organizational capacity building.

  • Maintain organized training materials, templates, and documentation to support consistency, quality, and scalability across engagements.

  • Stay current on trends and best practices in adult learning, nonprofit capacity building, organizational development, compliance training, and social impact consulting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, organizational development, public administration, nonprofit management, human resources, business, legal studies, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • 3–7 years of experience in training and development, learning strategy, instructional design, organizational development, consulting, or a related function.

  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations, social enterprises, mission-driven businesses, or professional services firms preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training for adult learners across multiple formats and audiences.

  • Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly and accurately.

  • Knowledge of nonprofit operations, governance, compliance, capacity building, or legal support environments is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to evolving client needs, and work effectively in a small, collaborative firm environment.

  • Strong judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive information.

  • Proficiency with common productivity, presentation, and virtual learning tools.

Work Environment and Role Structure

This role may be structured as full-time, part-time, or project-based depending on firm needs. The Training and Development Strategist will work closely with KenKor 360 leadership and may collaborate directly with clients, external partners, and subject matter experts. Success in this role requires adaptability, strong communication, and the ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-moving, high-trust consulting environment.
