G MASS Consulting are partnered with a leading global insurance services group, as they seek an experienced Coverholder Auditor to deliver audits of US coverholders on behalf of Lloyd's managing agents.

The role covers end-to-end delivery of each audit, from planning and fieldwork through to the final report, against the Lloyd's audit framework and the LMA Coverholder Audit Scope. The client requires a seasoned delegated authority professional, ideally an ex-underwriter or claims manager, who can evidence every finding against the binding authority agreement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end audits of US coverholders on behalf of one or more Lloyd's managing agents, including Lloyd's coordinated audits, delivering approximately 2 full audits per month.
  • Review the binding authority agreement and the managing agent's audit scope, and issue tailored pre-audit information requests.
  • Conduct on-site and remote fieldwork, testing underwriting, claims, governance and controls against the terms of the delegated authority.
  • Hold wrap-up meetings with coverholder management to discuss initial findings.
  • Produce clear, evidence-based audit reports using a risk-based approach, with prioritised findings and recommendations to reduce risk and improve efficiency, linked back to the delegated authority agreement.
  • Record findings in Lloyd's Delegated Audit Manager (DAM) within the agreed deadlines, and support post-audit actions through to closure.

Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of the Lloyd's delegated authority model, the Lloyd's coordinated audit framework, and the current LMA Coverholder Audit Scope and guidance notes.
  • A senior background as an underwriter, claims manager or delegated authority professional.
  • Proven ability to write clear, structured audit reports.
  • Confidence leading audits independently, with willingness to travel to coverholder sites.
  • US-based candidates, or those with experience of US coverholders, are strongly advantageous.
  • Spanish language skills are highly desirable; DCA or reinsurance audit experience, use of DAM and registration as a Lloyd's auditor are advantageous.

Benefits

Length: Initial 6 month contract

Start: Immediate

Office: Remote (US-based, or London-based delivering remotely), with travel to coverholder sites as required
