Role Overview

- We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who can bridge the gap between concept and production. In this role, you'll use your SolidWorks expertise to create accurate models, develop manufacturing-ready documentation, solve engineering challenges, and help bring innovative products to life.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 3D CAD models using SolidWorks.
- Produce manufacturing-ready technical drawings and specifications.
- Update, modify, and maintain existing product designs.
- Reverse engineer products from sketches, drawings, and physical samples.
- Develop alternative design concepts and engineering solutions.
- Perform engineering evaluations and mass calculations.
- Support assembly design and design-for-manufacturing reviews.
- Maintain engineering documentation and revision control records.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support product development initiatives.
- Deliver engineering outputs within established timelines.
Requirements
Required Qualifications (Must-Have):
- Experience in Mechanical Design Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Design, or Product Development.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Experience creating 3D CAD models and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production documentation.
- Understanding of assembly design principles.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in a remote or collaborative engineering environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):
- Experience with reverse engineering projects.
- Experience in manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- Experience supporting product development from concept through production.
- Familiarity with engineering calculations and product evaluation processes.
- Experience maintaining engineering documentation and revision control systems.
