The Sales Manager will strengthen key accounts, acquire new business in North America, support marketing efforts, and manage local sales partners.
Optotune Switzerland AG is a strongly growing and internationally active optics company based in Zurich, Switzerland. We develop, manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial and consumer markets.
Liquid lenses are the flagship product line at Optotune and the very first product which has been developed and patented. As the technological advantage is becoming clearer to a broader audience, the support to our customers is key to continue our growth. Your task is to take Optotune’s products (liquid lenses and optical actuators) sales to the next level by scaling up our core markets, finding new applications for existing products or developing new markets by acquiring development projects.
As a Sales Manager you are going to support the company sales expansion and business development.
Tasks
- Strengthen the relationships with existing key accounts
- Acquire new business in the US, Canada & Mexico
- Provide feedback to product management
- Manage and foster local sales partners
- Support local marketing activities including several trade shows
Requirements
- Must have technical background (MSc or equivalent)
- At least 5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in optics
- Market knowledge preferably in defense, medical, microscopy, semiconductor and vision applications
- Ability to identify new customers, build up and maintain relationships
- Ability to understand customers’ technical requirements and suggest solutions
- Passion for sales and marketing, friendly personality, well organized, autonomous and team player
- Excellent knowledge of English, Spanish advantageous
- Good working knowledge in MS Office applications
- SAP and SAP CRM knowledge is a plus
