UX Design InternJob Description
The People Inc. Internship will start June 2026 and end May 2027.
This is an amazing opportunity for a student of UX Design who is interested in not just visual design, but in diving into developing and building complex systems that require deep coordination between Product, Engineering, Design, and Editorial. The intern will come away with tangible, first-hand experiences of what it's like to work at one of the largest publishers in the world.
Responsibilities (i.e. core activities in the role, key projects or capstone project, etc.):
Assist on MyRecipes site feature updates and Food tentpoles
Assist with making updates to the MyRecipes design system, keeping the system up-to-date and consistent and running audits to identify fixes or enhancements needed
Get involved with each phase of the UX design process; sketches, wireframes, prototypes/flows, high-fidelity mocks
Help conduct UX research to evaluate user intent and needs
Qualifications / Requirements (i.e. soft and hard skills + any previous experience):
Strong passion for user experience and a desire to learn and grow in the field
Strong visual design skills, especially visual interface and typography
Strong problem-solving skills with focus on identifying, defining and creating solutions for real user needs
Proficient in Figma and eagerness to learn new tools
