WHO WE ARE:

At Pogue Construction, we are dedicated to building more than structures—we build lasting relationships. Since 1979, our team has been personally invested in the communities we serve, from North Texas to Houston, working on the schools and spaces that shape everyday life. 3–5 years of hands-on BIM/VDC experience in a commercial construction environment
Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle BIM coordination on projects $100M+ in value; GC-side experience strongly preferred

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management/Science or commensurate experience in the construction industry

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, manage, and deliver BIM models and VDC documentation across all project phases, ensuring completeness and accuracy aligned with project BIM execution plans
• Establish, maintain, and enforce VDC/BIM standards and workflows, including model setup, naming conventions, and coordination protocols across trade partners
• Create or supplement 3D modeling content not provided by design teams or trade partners, and compile federated models for coordination and owner deliverables
• Lead and facilitate clash detection and resolution processes with project teams and trade partners, tracking issues through to resolution and documenting outcomes
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with trade partners, design teams, project managers, and field superintendents to ensure VDC processes are integrated into daily operations
• Read, interpret, and apply construction documents including drawings, specifications, and RFIs to drive accurate and actionable VDC deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
• Support preconstruction and business development pursuits by producing 4D phasing models, visual simulations, and project-specific VDC presentations that differentiate Pogue in competitive pursuits
• Plan and execute reality capture workflows including drone flights, 360° photo documentation, and laser scanning; integrate captured data with BIM models for progress monitoring, as-built documentation, and quality verification
• Conduct thorough QA/QC reviews of trade partner and internal models, identifying and resolving errors, omissions, and coordination conflicts before they impact the field
• Collaborate with the preconstruction team on model-based quantity takeoffs, constructability reviews, and design coordination, identifying cost and schedule risks early in the process
• Partner with design teams during preconstruction to identify and resolve design conflicts, missing scope, and constructability challenges before they escalate into field issues or change orders
• Train and mentor field teams, project managers, and Pogue staff on VDC tools, processes, and best practices fostering a culture of technology adoption across the organization
• Research, pilot, and help implement emerging VDC technologies and workflows including AI-assisted tools, scan-to-BIM, and automation that advance Pogue’s competitive edge and operational efficiency

REQUIRE SKILLS & EXPECTATIONS:

• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver accurate work on schedule
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) with the ability to create clear reports, presentations, and project communications
• Working knowledge of commercial construction practices, sequencing, and delivery methods (GC, design-build, CM-at-risk) sufficient to produce field-relevant VDC deliverables
• Solid understanding of MEP systems and their spatial requirements, including how mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural elements interact in a federated model environment
• Proven ability to read and interpret complex construction documents, including architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, and translate them into actionable BIM coordination and field guidance
• Ability to independently lead BIM coordination kick-offs, author and manage BIM Execution Plans, and maintain active coordination workflows with trade partners throughout construction
• Deep working knowledge of VDC/BIM technologies, workflows, and industry best practices, including LOD standards, clash detection methodology, and model-based quantity takeoff, with demonstrated ability to apply them on active projects
• Collaborative team player with the interpersonal skills to work effectively across internal departments (estimating, project management, field operations) and with external partners, including owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Knowledge of and proficiency in VDC/BIM technology solutions, including:
o Autodesk Construction Cloud
o Procore
o Autodesk Revit
o Autodesk AutoCAD
o Autodesk Navisworks Manage
o cmBuilder
o Bluebeam
o Sketchup
o 360 Photos
