About Incline P&C Group

Incline P&C Group is a privately owned company, backed by private equity and its original founders, with an exclusive focus on the property and casualty program insurance market.  The company writes approximately $2 billion in premiums through its A-rated and managed carriers.  Incline has a team of over 100 employees headquartered in Austin, Texas.

Enterprise Data, Analytics & Artificial Intelligence

Incline Insurance Group is seeking a visionary and execution-focused Vice President of Data & AI to lead the company’s enterprise data, analytics, and artificial intelligence strategy.  This role will be responsible for building and scaling a modern data organization, enabling AI-powered insights and products, and transforming how data is leveraged across underwriting, actuarial, finance, and operations.

This is a hybrid leadership role requiring strategic vision, technical depth, and strong business partnership.  The VP of Data & AI will play a critical role in positioning Incline for long-term growth by ensuring data and AI are embedded into decision-making, product innovation, and operational efficiency.

About the Data, Analytics & AI Function

Incline’s Data, Analytics & AI function serves as the enterprise backbone for data-driven decision-making. The team is responsible for ingesting and standardizing data from Managing General Agents (MGAs), enabling trusted analytics across the organization, and advancing AI-driven capabilities that support pricing, risk selection, portfolio management, and operational excellence.

The VP of Data & AI will lead the evolution of this function, from foundational data enablement to advanced analytics and AI-powered solutions while ensuring scalability, governance, and alignment with business strategy.

What You’ll Do

As Vice President of Data & AI, you will be a senior leader responsible for defining and executing Incline’s data and AI vision.  You will partner closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure data and AI capabilities drive measurable business outcomes.

Enterprise Data & AI Strategy: Define and lead Incline’s enterprise data, analytics, and AI strategy aligned with corporate objectives and long-term growth goals.  Establish a clear roadmap that balances foundational data maturity with advanced analytics and AI innovation.  Serve as a thought partner to executive leadership on how data and AI can transform products, underwriting, and operations.

Data Platform, Architecture & Governance: Own the enterprise data architecture, including ingestion, transformation, modeling, and analytics platforms.  Ensure data quality, consistency, security, and governance across all sources, including MGA-provided data.  Establish scalable standards, best practices, and operating models for data management and analytics delivery.

Analytics & Business Enablement: Enable actuarial, underwriting, finance, and operations teams with trusted, decision-ready analytics and insights.  Oversee the development of dashboards, reports, and analytical products that support pricing, reserving, portfolio monitoring, and operational performance.  Ensure analytics solutions are intuitive, actionable, and aligned with stakeholder needs.

AI & Advanced Analytics Leadership: Lead the development and adoption of AI-powered solutions, including machine learning, predictive analytics, and automation.  Identify and prioritize AI use cases that deliver tangible business value (e.g., pricing optimization, risk selection, claims insights, operational efficiency).  Partner with business leaders to responsibly integrate AI into workflows, products, and decision-making processes.

Product & Transformation Focus: Drive the evolution of data and AI from reporting to productized capabilities that scale across the organization.  Support AI-enabled product innovation in collaboration with underwriting, actuarial, and technology teams.  Champion a data-driven and AI-literate culture across Incline.

Team Leadership & Development: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers, analysts, and analytics professionals.  Establish clear roles, career paths, and performance expectations within the data organization.  Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Executive Partnership & Communication: Communicate complex data and AI concepts clearly to executive and non-technical audiences.  Provide executive-ready insights, recommendations, and progress updates to senior leadership.  Act as a trusted advisor on data and AI strategy across the organization.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a senior data and AI leader who combines strong technical expertise with business acumen and strategic leadership.

Experience: 10+ years of experience in data, analytics, AI, or related leadership roles.  Proven experience building and scaling enterprise data and analytics organizations.  Experience in insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated industries strongly preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.  Advanced degree preferred.

Technical & Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of modern data architectures, data modeling, and analytics platforms.  Experience with AI/ML concepts, tools, and real-world business applications.  Strong understanding of insurance data, including policy, claims, billing, and underwriting workflows.

Leadership & Business Skills: Ability to translate business strategy into data and AI execution plans.  Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at the C-suite level.  Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive organizational change.  Clear, confident communicator who can align technical teams and business stakeholders.
