Role Summary

We are a high-growth, private, consumption-based software company seeking a Vice President, Global Controller to build and lead our accounting, tax, treasury, and procurement functions. This is a rare opportunity for a hands-on financial leader to own the full accounting and operating infrastructure of a scaling business, partner closely with the CFO and executive team, and help architect the systems, controls, and international footprint needed to support the company's next phase of growth.

What You'll Do
  • Own all aspects of global accounting operations, including the monthly and quarterly close, consolidations, technical accounting (including usage-based/consumption revenue recognition under ASC 606), and financial reporting.

  • Lead corporate tax strategy and compliance, including domestic and international tax planning, transfer pricing, and indirect tax (sales/use, VAT/GST) as the company expands globally.

  • Build and manage treasury operations: cash management, banking relationships, FX exposure, and capital deployment across multiple currencies and entities.

  • Own global procurement and vendor management: source-to-pay processes, vendor contract negotiation, spend management, and purchasing policies/controls as the company scales.

  • Design and scale accounting infrastructure, systems, and processes (ERP, billing, and close automation) to support rapid consumption-based revenue growth.

  • Establish and maintain a strong internal control environment (SOX-ready), including policies, procedures, and audit readiness in anticipation of a future public offering or transaction.

  • Lead all aspects of the annual financial statement audit and manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.

  • Guide international expansion from a finance and accounting perspective: entity structuring, local statutory and tax compliance, and building out finance operations in new markets.

  • Partner with the CFO and cross-functional leaders (Legal, Sales, Revenue Operations) on deal structuring, contract review, and revenue recognition for new consumption-based pricing models.

  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing global accounting and tax team as the organization grows.

  • Deliver accurate, timely financial reporting to executive leadership, the board of directors, and investors.

What You'll Bring
  • 12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including significant leadership experience in a high-growth SaaS or consumption/usage-based software company for both private and public companies.

  • CPA required; Big 4 public accounting background strongly preferred.

  • Deep expertise in US GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition for consumption/usage-based models.

  • Proven experience building or scaling tax and treasury functions, including international tax and multi-entity/multi-currency operations.

  • Track record of scaling accounting infrastructure and teams through periods of rapid growth, ideally including international expansion.

  • Experience preparing an organization for an IPO is strongly preferred.

  • Experience owning or partnering closely with procurement/vendor management, including contract negotiation and spend controls.

  • Strong systems acumen (e.g., NetSuite, Workday, or similar ERP; billing platforms for usage-based revenue).

  • Excellent communication and executive presence; able to partner directly with the CFO, CEO, board, and investors.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA a plus.
