About the Role

Orchard Title is looking for a VP of Growth and Business Development to serve as the face of Orchard Title of Texas, building relationships that convert into long-term, high-volume business.  This is a senior leadership role built for someone who understands that in the title industry, growth is driven by people. This person will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, and onboarding producing escrow officers, escrow teams, and in some cases, entire branch operations from competing title companies.

This is not a traditional sales role. Success is measured by your ability to attract top-producing talent with established books of business and the leadership to bring their clients, real estate partners, and production with them.

This is a full time role that will report into the GM of Orchard Title and can be remote in any of our Texas markets (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio or Austin - with preference for Dallas or Houston).

What You’ll Do Here:

  • Identify and recruit high-producing escrow officers across Texas markets who bring established books of business
  • Target and execute team-level and office-level acquisitions from competing title companies
  • Build, lead, and manage a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) across Texas markets by recruiting and developing talent with strong real estate networks and the ability to drive referral business on behalf of their assigned escrow teams.
  • Develop compelling value propositions tailored to individual producers and teams considering a move
  • Maintain and grow relationships with real estate brokerages, mortgage lenders, builders, and investors to support recruited producers and generate new revenue streams
  • Partner with incoming escrow officers to ensure a smooth transition of their client relationships to Orchard National Title
  • Set performance expectations, conduct regular coaching and accountability reviews, and create a culture of disciplined, relationship-driven sales activity

We’d Love to Hear From You if You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in the Texas title insurance industry in a sales, business development, or senior operations capacity
  • Prior experience managing a sales team or business development function — you know how to hire, coach, and hold reps accountable
  • Deep, established relationships with escrow officers, real estate professionals, and title/escrow talent across Texas markets
  • Proven track record of recruiting producing talent or growing market share in a competitive title environment
  • Strong understanding of Texas title and escrow operations, underwriter relationships, and agency dynamics
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills — you are known and respected in the industry
  • Self-directed and entrepreneurial; comfortable operating with minimal structure
  • Familiarity with Qualia or comparable title production platforms a plus
  • Title Agent background a plus

Orchard is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We provide employment opportunities without regard to age, race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other protected status in accordance with applicable law.
