About Us

We’re Trashie — the platform that turns recycling into instant rewards. Every time someone sends us clothes, shoes, or electronics through our Take Back Bag or Tech Box, they earn TrashieCash — points they can use for deals and rewards from brands they love. We’re growing fast and evolving how people interact with Trashie, expanding into new digital experiences that make sustainability feel personal and fun.

Join us in building the platform that makes sustainability second nature — and rewarding by design.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Vice President of Logistics to own and lead the end-to-end supply chain for the Take Back Business (TBB). This is a mission-critical role where you will design, implement, and manage a reverse logistics network that can scale nationally, reduce costs, and minimize carbon emissions.

From the moment one of our Take Back Bags is shipped via USPS, to its return journey back into our recycling network, you will oversee and continuously improve the system — including the design and rollout of regional hubs. You will manage direct relationships with major carriers (UPS, USPS, DHL) and fulfillment partners, negotiate contracts, and ensure our operations are always optimized for both cost and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Logistics Strategy: Define and execute Trashie’s logistics roadmap, ensuring alignment with company growth, efficiency, and sustainability goals.

  • Reverse Logistics & Recycling Partnerships: Own the full reverse logistics process from customer returns to facility intake, including vendor partnerships to ensure materials are processed accurately, cost-effectively, and sustainably, while optimizing shipping costs from customer homes to recycling facilities.

  • Supply & Inventory Assurance: Oversee inventory planning, ordering, and availability of Take Back Bags, boxes, and packaging, ensuring reliable supply through accurate forecasting and strong supplier partnerships. Manage and negotiate costing to meet unit economic targets.

  • Outbound Fulfillment: Manage outbound shipping operations for bags, boxes, and other materials sent to customers, brand partners, or fulfillment hubs, optimizing for cost and reliability.

  • Systems & Infrastructure: Oversee warehouse management systems, order management systems, transportation planning, and routing optimization for scalability and reliability.

  • Collaboration: Partner with product, technology, and customer experience teams to create seamless fulfillment and return experiences.

  • Vendor & Partner Management: Build and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, technology providers, carriers, and supply chain partners.

  • Sustainability & Compliance: Ensure logistics operations meet environmental standards, regulatory requirements, and data integrity practices.

  • Metrics & Impact: Establish KPIs to track logistics efficiency, cost savings, customer satisfaction, and sustainability outcomes.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in logistics, supply chain management, or reverse logistics, ideally across returns-focused companies, fulfillment providers, or major carriers.

  • Proven track record managing reverse logistics networks (returns, recycling, or take-back programs preferred).

  • Deep relationships or experience working with carriers such as UPS, USPS, DHL, and 3PLs/fulfillment centers.

  • Expertise in contract negotiation, cost reduction, and scaling logistics systems.

  • Experience designing and implementing hub strategies or distributed fulfillment networks.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate logistics data into actionable strategy.

Why Join Trashie?
  • Mission with impact: Drive logistics for a company that has already diverted over 5 millions of pounds of clothing, footwear, and e-waste from landfills.

  • Scale + innovation: Build and expand a reverse logistics and fulfillment network designed to reduce costs, lower CO₂ emissions, and accelerate circularity.

  • Leadership opportunity: Lead the team that will shape the future of recycling at a $14M+ circularity company.
