About Us

Our team is looking for an experienced Vice President of Marketing to join our ever growing team! Ideally, we are looking for someone who has an abundance of experience in helping companies grow into their next stage of growth. We're looking for a leader who can move fluidly between setting the vision and helping build it. Someone equally comfortable shaping brand strategy in a leadership meeting and rolling up their sleeves to help a campaign ship.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own our demand generation strategy — campaigns, audience segmentation, and lead nurturing — with clear pipeline targets tied to revenue goals.
  • Bring a results-driven, ROI-minded approach to every campaign and channel investment and evolve our marketing tech stack to scale efficiently as we grow.
  • Partner closely with Sales on pipeline goals, lead handoffs, and reporting that connects marketing activity directly to revenue.
  • Own our brand identity, voice, and market positioning — sharpening the story that differentiates us from legacy competitors and emerging alternatives.
  • This is one of the most important parts of the role: elevate our narrative and messaging to resonate at the executive level, giving our sales team the C-suite-ready story and value propositions they need to close large enterprise utility deals.
  • Build our thought leadership presence — white papers, research reports, and executive-level insight content — that builds credibility with senior utility buyers before Sales ever gets in the room.
  • Represent Buzz Solutions at high-profile speaking engagements and industry events, building the market presence that shortens sales cycles and warms the ground for our sales team.
  • Partner with Product on go-to-market positioning and launch strategy for new capabilities.
  • Lead, coach, and grow our marketing team, bringing structure and process to a function that's ready to scale.
  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to company strategy and cross-functional priorities.
  • Bring a collaborative, transparent, and data-driven leadership style — the trait we value most in this hire.
  • Until we bring on dedicated event support, own the strategy and execution for our conference, trade show, and speaking presence — evaluating and prioritizing opportunities based on ROI, visibility, and relationship value.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, including direct ownership of demand generation strategy and results.
  • A track record of elevating brand and messaging to resonate with senior and executive audiences, ideally in complex or technical B2B markets.
  • Experience marketing enterprise B2B SaaS solutions, ideally into traditional or regulated industries; utility industry knowledge is a bonus, not a requirement.
  • Experience at a growth-stage company navigating a similar inflection point — scaling a brand and a marketing function alongside rapid company growth.
  • A collaborative, transparent, and direct communication style, with genuine enthusiasm for coaching and developing a team.
  • A hands-on mindset — comfortable setting strategy and rolling up your sleeves to help execute it.
