TITLE: Vice President, Product Marketing
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Vice President, Product Marketing at Duck Creek Technologies leads the global product marketing strategy and execution across the full portfolio of the company’s software solutions. This role is responsible for driving go-to-market readiness, product positioning, solution messaging, competitive intelligence, and content development that supports revenue growth, customer adoption, and market leadership. The VP, Product Marketing partners closely with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, and Corporate Marketing teams to craft compelling narratives that translate complex capabilities into customer value. As a senior leader, this position manages and develops a high-performing global team of product marketers and plays a critical role in shaping and communicating Duck Creek’s value proposition in a competitive market.
- Leads the global product marketing function, developing strategies and programs that align with company objectives and business growth.
- Defines and communicates differentiated product and solution positioning, messaging, and value propositions tailored to key personas and industry segments.
- Oversees go-to-market strategies for product launches, ensuring cross-functional alignment across Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
- Builds and evolves competitive intelligence programs, providing insights to inform positioning, pricing, and sales strategies.
- Partners with Product Management to influence roadmap prioritization based on market needs and customer feedback.
- Develops content strategies that support awareness, demand generation, and enablement activities, including solution briefs, thought leadership, and case studies.
- Drives alignment with Sales Enablement to ensure tools, assets, and training are in place to support effective sales execution.
- Serves as a senior spokesperson and subject matter expert at industry events, analyst briefings, and customer engagements.
- Leads market segmentation and buyer persona research to inform targeted campaigns and solutions marketing.
- Measures and reports on the performance of product marketing initiatives and uses data to optimize strategy.
- Manages, coaches, and mentors a team of product marketing professionals, fostering professional development and collaboration.
- Collaborates with Corporate Communications and Brand teams to ensure messaging consistency across all channels
WHAT YOU’VE DONE:
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in product marketing within the software or technology industry
- 7+ years of experience leading and managing high-performing marketing teams.
- 5+ years of insurance technology experience or insurance carrier operational experience.
PREFERRED:
- MBA or advanced degree in Marketing or Strategy
- Deep knowledge of the enterprise SaaS or insurtech market
- Experience in a global B2B technology company
- Consulting or past marketing experience in the insurance market
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors:
- Strategic mindset with a strong understanding of enterprise software and market dynamics
- Proven ability to translate technical product details into customer-facing value propositions
- Deep knowledge of go-to-market strategy, messaging frameworks, and product launch planning
- Excellent leadership and people development skills with experience managing global teams
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive marketing decisions
- Expertise in competitive positioning and market differentiation
- Strong collaboration skills with experience working across Product, Sales, and Marketing
- Demonstrated success in building scalable processes and marketing infrastructure
- Familiarity with modern marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Seismic, Marketo, Highspot)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and globally distributed environment
- Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation
- Results-oriented with a track record of delivering measurable business impact
- Creative and innovative thinking in approaching product storytelling and customer engagement

Actual compensation for this role is determined based on a variety of factors, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location, where permitted by law.
For reference, the expected salary range for this position is generally positioned as follows based on candidate location:
- 179,100 – 215,000: Candidates living in the Boston, New York City–Newark, Los Angeles, San Francisco/Bay Area, Seattle, or Washington, DC metropolitan area
This position is also eligible for annual bonus compensation, subject to plan terms and individual eligibility.
Final compensation will be determined based on the factors outlined above and in accordance with applicable law.
