We’re looking for a strategic, execution-oriented Vice President of Revenue Marketing to lead and scale Sprout Social’s global demand generation engine. This leader will own the strategy, performance, and operating model behind the multi-channel programs that generate and accelerate pipeline across both self-serve and sales-led motions.
This role oversees digital and performance marketing, paid media, SEO and AEO/GEO, conversion rate optimization (including trial experience), web strategy, growth marketing, email and programmatic marketing, and marketing operations. As executive sponsor of AI transformation within Marketing, you will modernize how we experiment, optimize and deliver measurable business impact.

You will work closely with leaders across Marketing, Sales, Rev Ops, Customer Success and Product to align on shared performance metrics, streamline funnel operations and drive efficiency across the go-to-market engine.
As a key member of the Marketing Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will help shape overall marketing strategy while building and leading a high-performing organization. This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
What you’ll do- Own and evolve Sprout’s global demand generation strategy to drive pipeline growth, revenue expansion and customer acquisition efficiency.
- Architect and operationalize a unified funnel strategy across self-serve and sales-led motions, ensuring seamless digital experiences, clear handoffs and clear revenue accountability.
- Lead and optimize inbound and performance marketing functions to improve conversion rates, accelerate pipeline velocity and maximize ROI.
- Establish scalable operating models that align Marketing, Sales and Rev Ops around shared pipeline and revenue targets.
- Define and manage marketing performance metrics across pipeline, bookings, CAC, LTV and overall return on investment.
- Sponsor and implement AI-driven innovation to increase experimentation velocity, team productivity and marketing effectiveness.
- Support expansion into new geographies and markets with scalable, repeatable demand frameworks.
- Build, develop and scale a high-performing, accountable marketing organization.
- 15+ years of experience building and scaling B2B revenue marketing and demand generation engines in complex go-to-market environments.
- 7+ years in senior leadership roles, including building and scaling marketing teams.
- Demonstrated success driving cross-functional revenue initiatives in complex go-to-market environments.
- Deep fluency in demand generation metrics, funnel optimization and marketing technology (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce).
- Experience scaling global demand programs while maintaining a strong experimentation roadmap.
- Excellent executive communication and storytelling skills.
- SaaS or enterprise software background strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset with comfort owning revenue performance metrics.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a clear bias toward outcomes and accountability.
Within 1 month, you’ll:
- Develop a deep understanding of Sprout’s product, customers and GTM strategy.
- Align with the CMO and SLT on priorities, performance expectations and success metrics.
- Assess current demand performance and operating models.
Within 3 months, you’ll:
- Introduce prioritized demand initiatives and early optimization wins.
- Evaluate team structure and identify opportunities to increase scale and efficiency.
- Establish a clear performance framework tied directly to pipeline and revenue outcomes.
Within 6 months, you’ll:
- Deliver measurable improvements in pipeline generation, conversion efficiency and marketing ROI.
- Strengthen cross-functional alignment through clear operating rhythms and shared accountability.
Within 12 months, you’ll:
- Drive sustained revenue acceleration through a mature, AI-enabled demand engine.
- Scale global demand capabilities to support market expansion and long-term growth.
- Establish Revenue Marketing as a strategic, measurable growth lever for the business.

Whenever possible, Sprout wants to provide our team with the flexibility to work in the location that makes the most sense for them. Sprout maintains a remote workforce in many places in the United States. However, we are not set up in all states, so please look at the drop-down box in our application to see whether your state is listed. Few roles require an office setting. If your position requires a physical presence in a Sprout office, it will be evident in the job listing and your offer letter.
Individual base pay is based on various factors, including whether you’re located in Zone 1 or Zone 2, as well as relevant experience and skills. In the United States, we have two geographic pay zones. For this role, the expected base pay ranges for new hires are:
- Zone 1 (CA, NY, WA): $262,000.00-$328,000.00 USD annually
- Zone 2 (All other US states): $238,000.00-$298,000.00 USD annually
The listed ranges represent earning potential in this position. These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach; we used data from trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable, consistent, and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation bi-annually, identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.
Base pay is only one element of an employee's total compensation at Sprout. Every Sprout team member has an opportunity to receive restricted stock units (RSUs) under Sprout’s equity plan. Employees (and their dependents) are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life, accidental death, and dismemberment insurance, and Modern Health (a wellness benefit). Employees are able to enroll in Sprout’s company’s 401k plan, in which Sprout will match 50% of your contributions up to 6% with a maximum contribution. Sprout offers “Flexible Paid Time Off” and ten paid holidays.
