About Echo Base

Echo Base is a privately funded investment platform focused on special situations and strategic opportunities within the digital asset ecosystem. We acquire, finance, and build companies where our operational expertise and capital can unlock outsized value. Our team combines institutional investment discipline with crypto-native insight to identify and execute on complex opportunities across the industry’s most dynamic segments.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Partner to lead our specialty lending team within Echo Base Finance. This individual will be responsible for (1) originating, underwriting, and managing credit investments (2) developing crypto-denominated yield strategies across the crypto and broader digital asset ecosystem. The role requires a strong background in private credit or special situations investing, coupled with the ability to independently drive the full investment lifecycle—from origination and diligence to structuring, execution, and portfolio management.

What You’ll Do

  • Source and execute private credit and special situation lending opportunities across digital asset and technology sectors.
  • Lead underwriting and structuring of bespoke financing transactions (secured lending, convertibles, revenue share, hybrid instruments, etc).
  • Perform deep due diligence and financial modeling on counterparties, collateral, and underlying technology assets.
  • Manage ongoing portfolio monitoring, covenant compliance, and performance reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with internal corporate finance and portfolio operations teams to optimize recovery and value creation.
  • Contribute to the continuous evolution of Echo Base Finance’s investment playbook and credit risk framework.

What We’re Looking For

  • 7–10+ years of experience in private debt, special situations, or distressed credit investing (buy-side preferred).
  • Direct experience executing middle-market credit transactions, including workouts and restructurings.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as an individual contributor and manage all stages of the deal lifecycle.
  • Strong credit underwriting and financial modeling capabilities, with a deep understanding of technology and digital asset businesses.
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity, commercial judgment, and ability to navigate emerging markets and counterparties.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFA preferred.

What We Offer

  • Entrepreneurial, high-performance environment with institutional standards.
  • Exposure to complex, frontier credit investments across global markets.
  • Opportunity to help shape the playbook for crypto-native special situations investing.
