The Opportunity

Aeris is seeking an exceptional Vice President, Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem to lead the company's global ecosystem strategy. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this executive will be responsible for building and scaling the strategic partnerships that drive Aeris' next phase of growth. 
 
This is a highly visible executive leadership role at the intersection of product strategy, commercial strategy, and corporate development. You will define the ecosystem strategy, expand Aeris' global carrier footprint, establish strategic technology alliances, create new go-to-market channels, and identify opportunities that strengthen Aeris' competitive position. 
 
Success in this role requires equal parts strategist, dealmaker, and operator.

Key Responsibilities

Define Aeris' ecosystem strategy

  • Develop and execute Aeris' global ecosystem and partnership strategy aligned with the company's long-term growth objectives.
  • Identify adjacent markets, strategic opportunities, and emerging technologies that expand Aeris' total addressable market.
  • Build a scalable ecosystem spanning mobile operators, cloud providers, cybersecurity companies, hardware manufacturers, module vendors, OEMs, systems integrators, and technology partners.

Expand the global connectivity ecosystem

  • Lead the expansion of Aeris' global Mobile Network Operator (MNO), MVNO, satellite, and infrastructure partner ecosystem.
  • Negotiate strategic commercial agreements that improve global coverage, economics, product capabilities, and competitive differentiation.
  • Build executive relationships with Tier 1 carriers and strategic connectivity providers worldwide.

Build strategic technology partnerships

  • Establish strategic partnerships with hyperscalers, cybersecurity companies, silicon vendors, module manufacturers, enterprise software providers, and device OEMs.
  • Drive joint product integrations, co-selling initiatives, and partner-led go-to-market programs that accelerate adoption of the Aeris Connectivity Platform and IoT Watchtower.
  • Create differentiated ecosystem offerings that increase customer value and strengthen Aeris' market position.

Drive strategic growth initiatives

  • Source, structure, negotiate, and execute complex commercial partnerships with global technology companies.
  • Evaluate adjacent market opportunities, strategic investments, and potential acquisition targets.
  • Develop executive business cases and strategic recommendations for the executive leadership team and Board of Directors.

Lead cross-functional execution

  • Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Operations to bring strategic partnerships from concept through commercial launch.
  • Represent Aeris in executive-level customer meetings, partner negotiations, industry conferences, and strategic forums.
  • Own partnership pipeline, ecosystem performance metrics, executive reporting, and long-term strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of executive-level experience in strategic partnerships, business development, corporate development, product strategy, or ecosystem leadership within enterprise software, networking, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, telecommunications, or IoT.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling strategic partnerships that generate significant revenue and long-term competitive advantage.
  • Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements with global enterprises, mobile operators, cloud providers, or technology companies.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS, cloud platforms, networking, cybersecurity, telecommunications, and ecosystem business models.
  • Outstanding executive presence with the ability to influence CEOs, business unit leaders, and senior executives across global organizations.
  • Proven ability to lead highly cross-functional initiatives spanning product, engineering, sales, legal, finance, and marketing.
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional commercial judgment, strong negotiation skills, and a bias toward execution.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
