Sophie Society is hiring a Video Ad Copywriter / Creative Producer to create direct-response video ads for our Amazon PPC agency.

Your primary responsibility will be turning our expertise, client results, offers, and creative ideas into compelling video ad scripts for Meta.

We’re looking for someone who understands Amazon and Amazon PPC well enough to write intelligently about the problems our customers face, while also having hands-on experience with Meta ads and direct-response creative.

This is not a traditional video editor role. You won’t be expected to edit every ad yourself. Instead, you’ll own the creative from angle and script through production—developing concepts, writing hooks and scripts, preparing briefs, coordinating talent and editors, and making sure the final ad communicates the idea effectively.

What you’ll do
  • Develop direct-response video ad concepts for Meta based on our offers, customer pain points, client results, account data, and winning creative.

  • Write persuasive, natural-sounding video ad scripts aimed at Amazon sellers and brands.

  • Develop multiple hooks, angles, and variations for each concept.

  • Turn rough marketing ideas into clear, shoot-ready scripts and creative briefs.

  • Understand our Amazon PPC services deeply enough to communicate problems, solutions, results, and offers accurately.

  • Package our services and offers in ways that make them compelling to the right audience.

  • Research competitors, customer pain points, objections, and existing ad creative to identify new angles.

  • Use client results, testimonials, screenshots, performance data, and other proof to strengthen scripts.

  • Verify claims, numbers, and client permissions before they appear in ads.

  • Prepare founders and other on-camera talent for shoots and direct them when necessary.

  • Give video editors clear briefs, scripts, footage, assets, references, and instructions.

  • Review edits and provide actionable feedback on pacing, messaging, hooks, proof, calls to action, and overall effectiveness.

  • Work with the team to get approved creative ready for launch.

  • Review Meta ad performance and use the results to develop stronger hooks, angles, and scripts.

  • Maintain an organized library of hooks, winning ads, customer proof, scripts, and creative ideas.

You’re a strong fit if you
  • Have experience writing direct-response video ad scripts for Meta/Facebook ads.

  • Understand Amazon and Amazon PPC well enough to write credible, specific marketing copy for Amazon sellers and brands.

  • Have a strong understanding of marketing fundamentals and know how to package an offer.

  • Can take a rough idea, customer insight, or performance result and turn it into a compelling video ad concept.

  • Know how to write strong hooks that earn attention quickly.

  • Write concise, persuasive scripts that sound natural when spoken aloud.

  • Have native-level English fluency and an excellent ear for conversational English.

  • Understand direct-response principles including hooks, pain points, objections, proof, offers, mechanisms, and calls to action.

  • Understand how Meta creative testing works and can develop meaningful variations rather than simply rewriting the same ad.

  • Can use advertising performance data to inform future creative decisions.

  • Can confidently communicate with founders, on-camera talent, and video editors.

  • Are highly organized and can coordinate scripts, assets, approvals, edits, and deadlines.

  • Take ownership when information, assets, or direction are missing rather than waiting to be told what to do.

  • Live and work in North America or the United Kingdom.

Must-have
  • Strong experience writing scripts or copy for Meta/Facebook direct-response ads.

  • Working knowledge of Amazon PPC and the Amazon seller ecosystem.

  • Experience marketing agencies, consulting firms, high-ticket services, or similar offers.

  • A portfolio of direct-response video ads or scripts you personally worked on.

  • Understanding of Meta advertising, creative strategy, and creative testing.

  • Experience turning customer results, testimonials, or case studies into advertising creative.

  • Experience using AI tools for research, data analysis, ideation, or developing creative angles.

How to apply

Send us:

  • Your résumé or LinkedIn profile.

  • Three examples of Meta video ads or scripts you worked on.

  • A clear description of what you personally did for each example.

  • One example of an ad where you developed the concept and script, and explain how you approached it.

  • A short explanation of your experience with Amazon and Amazon PPC.

  • A short explanation of how you use performance data to develop new hooks, angles, or creative variations.
