The VMWare Cloud Engineer will design, deploy, and manage VMware infrastructure, focusing on stability, scalability, and hybrid-cloud capabilities while providing technical support and documentation.

ITTConnect is seeking a VMWare Cloud Engineer expert in Cloud Formation to work remotely for a client in the US.
The VCF expert will design, deploy, and support modern VMware infrastructure. This role focuses on building stable, scalable environments using vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and SRM, while enabling hybrid‑cloud capabilities.
Job location: Remote, work from home, anywhere in LATAM.
MUST BE fluent in English. All interviews will be in English only.
Key Responsibilities:

- Deploy and manage VCF, including management and workload domains.
- Implement and optimize vSphere, vSAN, NSX‑T, HCX, and SRM.
- Troubleshoot issues across compute, storage, and network virtualization.
- Perform capacity planning, health checks, and risk assessments.
- Produce documentation and operational handoff materials.
- Support DR architecture and testing.
- Provide knowledge transfer to customers and internal teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of IT experience
- MUST BE fluent in English
- MUST BE an expert in VMWare Cloud Foundation
- Experience migrating VCF 5 VCF 9 is highly preferred
- Experience with VCF or large‑scale VMware deployments
- Strong understanding of virtualization, networking, and storage
- Hands‑on with at least two: vSAN, NSX‑T, HCX, SRM
- Familiarity with HCI platforms (e.g. Dell VxRail)
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Preferred
- VMware certifications (VCP/VCAP/VCIX).
- Experience with automation (PowerCLI, Ansible, Terraform).
- Exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP and hybrid integrations.
- Knowledge of backup/storage platforms like PowerStore or Veeam.
- Previous experience in Consulting and/or client facing roles
