Job Title: Vice President of Business Development
Location: Remote with travel as required
Reports to: Platform President, HVAC Platform
About the Role
The HVAC Platform at Marmon, which includes M&M Manufacturing, Coilmaster/HPT, and TMI Climate Solutions, is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Business Development to drive growth in the rapidly expanding data center market. This role will focus on building and leveraging relationships with key industry players to introduce and expand adoption of our innovative data center cooling solutions.
We’re looking for a self-starter with proven experience in business development who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth markets and knows how to create opportunities that deliver results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth in the data center market.
- Build and maintain relationships with major end users (e.g., Meta, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft), consultants, general contractors, and co-location companies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with the HVAC platform’s strategic objectives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the data center market, providing insights and guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with platform leadership and operating companies (M&M Manufacturing, Coilmaster/HPT, TMI Climate Solutions) to align customer needs with product capabilities.
- Represent the HVAC platform at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build brand presence and cultivate partnerships.
- Track, analyze, and report on business development initiatives, pipeline activity, and results.
Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or commercial leadership roles.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the data center market or selling into large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably cooling or HVAC solutions.
- Strong network of relationships with end users, consultants, and general contractors in the industry.
- Experience selling solutions or systems into large-scale infrastructure environments, preferably cooling or HVAC solutions.
- Ability to work independently and drive results with minimal direction.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred; advanced degree a plus.
