Vice President, Data & Digital Account Management

Summary

  • In this role, you will lead a team of Data & Digital Account Managers (Principals and Associate Principals) responsible for managing Vizient Data & Digital relationships across an assigned portfolio of hospitals and health systems. You will be accountable for achieving net revenue retention through successful renewals, client satisfaction, and expansion of existing relationships via partnership with the D&D Sales Teams.
  • As a member of the Data & Digital Commercial Leadership Team, you will partner closely with Sales, Service Delivery, Product Management, Marketing, Enterprise Account Management, and executive leadership to execute commercial strategies that strengthen client partnerships, improve client outcomes, and drive sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Data & Digital Account Management professionals responsible for an assigned portfolio of client relationships.
  • Drive achievement of net revenue retention goals through successful contract renewals, proactive retention strategies, and identification of expansion opportunities across existing accounts.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and client focus while developing talent and building future leaders within the Account Management organization.
  • Coach account managers in developing strategic account plans that align client priorities with Vizient Data & Digital solutions and broader enterprise capabilities.
  • Partner with Sales, Enterprise Account Management, and Service Delivery leadership to identify and execute cross-sell and upsell opportunities that increase client value and expand Vizient relationships.
  • Monitor account health, renewal pipelines, revenue forecasts, and client engagement activities to proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provide executive leadership for executive-level client relationships, participating in strategic meetings, business reviews, and escalated client situations as needed.
  • Ensure consistent execution of account management best practices, renewal processes, forecasting, and CRM discipline across the team.
  • In collaboration with Product Management, Marketing, R&D, and other internal stakeholders, communicate voice-of-the-customer insights that inform product enhancements and commercial strategy.
  • Contribute as a member of the Data & Digital Commercial Leadership Team by helping shape organizational priorities, commercial strategies, talent development, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Promote collaboration across Data & Digital and the broader Vizient organization to deliver an integrated client experience and maximize member value.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree preferred; advanced degree a plus.
  • 15 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Leadership experience managing client-facing commercial, account management, or customer success teams required.  Highly successful, C-suite level individual contributors encouraged to apply as well.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams responsible for revenue retention, executive client relationships, and commercial growth.
  • Experience managing complex healthcare provider relationships and building partnerships with C-suite executives required.
  • Proven ability to develop leaders, drive accountability, and achieve organizational performance goals.
  • Strong strategic planning, business acumen, and analytical skills with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
  • Executive presence with exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across diverse cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet client and business needs.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $187,800.00 to $348,300.00.
