VP Finance

Location: Remote, US - East Coast

About Vic.ai

Vic.ai is building the future of autonomous accounting using AI. We serve fast-growing finance teams across the US and Europe and are scaling rapidly toward our next stage of growth. We are a product-driven, metrics-focused, and execution-oriented company—and we operate with a high degree of ownership, pace, and accountability. We’re looking for a world-class finance leader who thrives in that kind of environment and brings both strategic clarity and relentless execution.

The Role

We are seeking an exceptional Vice President of Finance to join our executive team.

This is a hands-on, high-agency leadership role for a proven finance executive who has helped scale a B2B SaaS company in the $50M–$150M revenue range and knows how to balance growth, efficiency, and operational rigor. You will be a key partner to the CEO and leadership team, owning outcomes - not just analysis, across financial strategy, planning, reporting, and execution as Vic.ai scales.

This role is ideal for a leader who moves quickly, creates clarity in ambiguity, and consistently turns strategy into action.

What You’ll Do

Strategic & Executive Leadership
  • Rethink and build the finance organization from an AI-first mindset, driving both strategic leverage and operational velocity

  • Serve as a true business partner to the CEO and executive team on growth, capital allocation, and long-term value creation, bringing perspective, making decisions, and driving follow-through

  • Own company-wide financial strategy, planning, and performance management with clear accountability for results

  • Drive financial rigor, forecasting accuracy, and KPI discipline across the business - turning insight into execution

  • Partner with the Board and investors on reporting, planning, and strategic initiatives with high ownership and credibility

  • Help guide key strategic decisions including pricing, investment tradeoffs, and scaling strategy - with urgency and conviction

Financial Operations & Scale
  • Own FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning with a bias toward speed, clarity, and decision usefulness

  • Build and operate a best-in-class SaaS financial model (ARR, CARR, CAC, LTV, burn, runway, etc.) that is deeply embedded in how the company runs

  • Drive strong cash management, capital efficiency, and scenario planning with proactive leadership

  • Oversee global accounting, close, tax, and compliance—holding a high bar for both quality and pace
Ensure strong internal controls, audit readiness, and SOC2-aligned financial operations without slowing the business down

Systems, Process & Team
  • Scale and lead the finance organization across Accounting, FP&A, and Payroll—hiring builders and owners

  • Rethink systems, tooling, and processes to support the next phase of growth from an AI-first perspective—and personally drive the change to completion

  • Build a high-performing, business-oriented finance team that operates with urgency, ownership, and deep partnership with functional leaders

  • Continuously improve forecasting accuracy, operating cadence, and decision support—raising the company’s execution speed and quality

Corporate Finance & Strategic Initiatives
  • Lead M&A, corporate development, and strategic finance initiatives end-to-end (including diligence, integration, and ROI tracking) with full accountability for outcomes

  • Support future fundraising, financing, and strategic transactions as needed

  • Maintain strong, high-trust relationships with banks, auditors, and financial partners

What You’ll Need
  • 7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience with a significant portion of your career spent in FP&A or strategic finance roles, and at least 3+ years in a VP role

  • Deep, hands-on background in FP&A, including owning company-wide planning, forecasting, modeling, and performance management in a B2B SaaS environment

  • Deep B2B SaaS experience in a venture-backed or growth-stage company

  • Proven experience scaling a company in the $50M–$150M revenue range

  • Strong command of SaaS metrics, unit economics, and growth-stage financial strategy - you have built and run the models, not just reviewed them

  • Experience leading M&A and post-merger integration
Strong knowledge of GAAP; experience with multi-entity and international operations a plus

  • CPA strongly preferred; MBA a plus - a true business leader who drives planning, decisions, and execution - not just reporting

  • Executive presence, strong judgment, and the ability to operate as a true business leader—not just a finance operator

What You’ll Get
  • Competitive salary + meaningful equity

  • 401(k) with employer match

  • Health, vision, and dental (100% covered options for employee + family)

  • Monthly wellness stipend

  • Generous parental leave

  • Remote-first work environment with home office stipend

  • Generous PTO and flexible, family-friendly culture

  • Regular in-person company retreats

  • The chance to help build a category-defining AI company with a high-performing, mission-driven team
