The Opportunity
DomainTools is seeking a strategic and hands-on VP of People Operations to lead the hiring, onboarding, enablement, engagement and high-level management of our growing and very capable global workforce. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will steer our People Ops strategy, serving as a trusted advisor to the executive team and a cultural steward for our remote-first, global organization. You will lead a highly capable team including an HR Manager, HR Generalist, Culture Ambassador/Office Manager, and an offshore Recruiter.
What You’ll Do
You have a deep passion for creating a work environment that empowers employees to be highly engaged and do their best work. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Global Talent Strategy: Oversee global recruiting, onboarding, and EOR management (Multiplier) as well as career development frameworks and performance management resulting in a high-performing and inclusive culture.
- Executive Leadership: Serve as a member of our elite executive team and trusted advisor, presenting to the Board of Directors as required.
- Operational Excellence: Lead HR operations, and HRIS systems management (Workday, 15Five, GSuite) ensuring operational efficiency as the company continues to scale.
- Learning and Development: Leadership and career development supported by our LMS.
- Organizational Health: Org design and workforce planning, succession planning and people analytics to ensure DomainTools is positioned optimally for growth.
- Total Rewards: Own the strategy and execution of our compensation (Radford) and benefits programs.
- Culture Stewardship: Champion our values—Impact, Customer First, Joy, Accountability, Teamwork, and Integrity—within a remote-first environment.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Lead regulatory compliance, labor laws, diversity initiatives, and employee relations to protect both the employees and the organization.
- Innovation: Champion the adoption of state-of-the-art technologies, such as GenAI, within the People Ops function and across the organization. Stay abreast of our rapidly changing market with strategies that ensure a healthy and engaged employment population.
- Mergers and Acquisitions: Supporting successful acquisitions through due diligence support and change management throughout to ensure the newly acquired employees are fully integrated and engaged quickly.

- Strong financial and business acumen, with experience in Total Rewards and HR systems.

- A tireless champion for the business and for the employees. We need someone that is high energy, optimistic, positive and encouraging.
- Through process and influence is able to create a high bar for employee performance and accountability across the org, and patterns with our Leadership team to ensure we are consistent in our execution of that standard
- Understands the importance of both growth and profitability. Personnel are by far this company’s highest cost line and an important part of the role is balancing demand for the best talent with the realities of budgets and cost-per-employee KPIs
Requirements
- Experience: 12+ years of progressive HR or People leadership experience, ideally scaling distributed, fast-growing organizations.
- Skills: Strong business acumen, deep knowledge of labor law, and exceptional conflict resolution capabilities.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or Psychology; a Master's degree or MBA is highly preferred.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR are preferred
