Job Announcement:

VP of Product

Amid clinical workforce shortages, rising healthcare costs and concerns about inequity, IMPaCT unlocks the power of the grassroots community health workforce.

Here at IMPaCT Care, we get out of bed every day to change lives, with the most effective intervention in the world for addressing health inequity. We find, train and enable Community Health Workers (CHWs): caring people who keep their communities healthy. We have built the largest and most scientifically-proven Community Health Worker platform in the country, used across 22 states by over 70 organizations like Kaiser Permanente, CVS and United Way. Across multiple randomized controlled trials IMPaCT has achieved outcomes frequently believed to be out of reach, including $2,500 annual savings per patient, improved mental health and a Net Promoter Score of 94. We’re making waves: on CNN, in WaPo, at the Fed…there is even a new Medicare billing code for Community Health Workers that is modeled after IMPaCT.

We’re changing the game, but also know the importance of enjoying the journey. That’s why we have made sure that IMPaCT Care is the place to be! We provide competitive compensation and equity grants, comprehensive benefits and plenty of opportunities for team-building and fun. Plus you get to work from home.

Who you are:

You are a nimble, problem solver who thrives on creating clarity from ambiguity. As a leader, you set your colleagues up for success, keeping everyone aligned on the goal and anticipating what needs to happen next to keep momentum moving forward. You are highly organized and always know the state of play: what’s in development, what’s next, and what risks to keep an eye on. You have a track record of looking around corners and anticipating issues and opportunities. When plans change or priorities shift, you bring a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset, partnering with stakeholders to find both short-term workarounds and the long-term path forward.

You are a discerning technology enthusiast who can weave together AI and the human touch in a product vision as well as team operations. You are comfortable being the connective tissue between customers, end-users, engineering, and leadership, and you’re energized by translating between these audiences. You are a clear, crisp communicator, equally comfortable writing a requirements doc, walking an institutional customer through a roadmap conversation, or facilitating a design review with engineers and designers in the room. You are willing to flex into whatever the moment requires, from defining quarterly priorities to writing release notes. You know no task is beneath you if it serves the team and the product. You’re collaborative by nature, but also comfortable guiding the team to converge a conversation into a decision.

This role will report directly to the CEO.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and evolve the product roadmap: keep roadmap items clearly scoped and appropriately prioritized, and ensure timelines reflect what’s realistically achievable given current development capacity
  • Drive the vision and execution for new AI product capabilities that enhance the efficacy of CHWs and CHW program leaders. Own the framework through which we will evaluate not just the ROI, but how we will approach it as another lever to eradicate the systemic biases that are at the root of many clients’ challenges.
  • Maintain a regular cadence with the CEO and Head of Technology to stay aligned on priorities, progress, and team operations
  • Define the problem before the solution: scope new features by synthesizing end-user feedback, institutional customer requests, and internal strategic priorities. Bring market research and external design inspiration to the design process.
  • Drive the requirements process: identify the decisions that need to be made as a feature moves from concept to detailed scope, partner with design to develop and evaluate concepts, review requirements drafted by your team, and walk engineering through them before development begins
  • Manage and develop a product team
  • Maintain help center documentation and release notes, ensuring customers and internal teams always know what’s changed and why
  • Be the connective tissue between institutional customers, end-users (CHWs), internal account teams, and engineering, translating questions, requests, and feedback in both directions
  • Help account teams and leadership navigate trade-offs when timelines shift, balancing customer needs, engineering capacity, and business priorities

What you bring:

  • 5-7 years of product management experience, ideally including time in a senior or lead capacity; experience in healthcare/health tech, B2B SaaS, or workflow software preferred
  • Experience driving the end-to-end process from research to launch of an AI-enabled product or feature
  • Demonstrated ability driving from complex, multi-stakeholder problems to clear, actionable solutions
  • Experience managing direct reports and/or project teams, with accountability for the quality and output of their work
  • Comfort working in Jira and Figma; ability to read SQL and run product queries is a plus, though not required
  • A track record of partnering closely with engineering teams, including reviewing and refining technical requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical, customer-facing, and executive audiences
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, startup environment, where prioritization and trade-offs are the primary levers for getting things done

One of our core values is to create a diverse workplace that welcomes and values each team member’s unique perspective, background, and ideas. We are committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace.

At this time, IMPaCT Care is unable to provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
