With origins in Linux, NFS, Open standards, Flash and deep file system and data management technology leadership, Hammerspace delivers the world’s first and only solution to connect global users with their data and applications on any existing data center infrastructure or AWS, Azure, and Google cloud services.

Hammerspace is seeking a high-caliber, process-driven enterprise storage sales executive to lead our Americas Sales organization. As the VP of Sales, Americas, you will drive revenue growth, scale the enterprise sales team, and expand our market share in the Global Data Environment category. You must possess a strong network in the data storage industry, selling AI use cases is a plus, previous sales leadership roles Americas, US West or East, a verified track record of scaling a business to over $100M in annual revenue, and a strict commitment to operational rigor through formal sales methodologies.  This position requires you to be in the field working with regional sales teams meeting with customers and partners and helping to close opportunities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Revenue Leadership: Own, execute, and exceed the annual sales quota for the Americas region.
  • Operational Discipline: Implement and enforce a highly structured, repeatable sales process using MEDDIC or MEDDPICC across all tiers of the sales organization.
  • Team Scaling: Hire, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of Enterprise Account Executives skilled in deep discovery and qualification.
  • Strategic Enterprise Deals: Directly engage in complex storage architecture sales cycles, validating economic buyers and decision criteria.
  • Channel & Alliance Strategy: Champion relationships with key storage VARs, global systems integrators, and cloud hyperscalers.
  • Predictable Forecasting: Utilize rigid qualification metrics to deliver highly accurate pipeline and revenue forecasts to the executive team.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Industry Domain Expertise: Minimum 10+ years of enterprise sales experience strictly within the Data Storage, File Systems, Cloud Data Management, or Unstructured Data sectors. Experience selling AI use cases is strongly desired.
  • Proven Revenue Scale: Documented history of leading sales teams that have successfully closed and managed $100M+ in annual revenue.
  • Methodology Mastery: Expert-level mastery of MEDDIC / MEDDPICC. Must have a proven history of embedding this qualification framework into the daily operations of a sales team to shorten deal cycles and increase win rates.
  • Leadership Experience: 5+ years of experience operating as a Second-Line Leader (Director, Senior Director, or VP) managing distributed enterprise sales teams in North America.
  • Startup Agility: Demonstrated success navigating high-growth, venture-backed tech environments where process must be built from the ground up.
  • Complex Sale Mastery: Expertise in selling complex software-defined storage (SDS) solutions to Fortune 500 CIOs, CTOs, and Infrastructure VPs.

Key Attributes for Success

  • You are highly process-heavy, relying on data and deal qualification metrics rather than intuition.
  • You possess an aggressive, hands-on coaching style that instills MEDDIC discipline into every deal review.
  • You maintain an active, Tier-1 network of enterprise customer relationships across the Americas.

To ensure this matches your internal evaluation process, let me know:

  • Do you want the interview process to include a deal review presentation where candidates present a past win qualified via MEDDIC?
  • Should we specify if your internal CRM (e.g., Salesforce) is already configured with MEDDPICC fields?
  • Are you looking for a leader who can also train the team internally, or should they hire an external consultant for MEDDIC enablement?

To the extent required by state or local hiring regulations, we will consider for employment any qualified applicant, including those with arrest and conviction records, in a manner consistent with the applicable regulation.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $400,000-475,000OTE.  Actual compensation will be determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional/education experience, skills/abilities, internal equity, and budgetary considerations. In addition, Hammerspace offers a broad range of health plans for medical, dental, vision, life and disability. We also offer 401k plans and flexible time off. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
