Job Title: VP, Sales

Department: Sales - Brand.    

Reports to: SVP-Sales.

Experience Required: At least 3 years of business development and operating experience, or equivalent.

Salary Range: $90-130K, OTE $180-$230K. 

FLSA Status: Exempt

Supervisory/Training Responsibilities: This role does not supervise/manage others.  This is an Individual Contributor role.

Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM ET

Job Overview

As a VP of Sales, your focus will be to find business opportunities and manage customer relationships. You’ll be directly responsible for the preservation and expansion of our customer base.  Your overarching goal is to identify opportunities with prospects and new clients and build them into long-term profitable relationships.

Some of your Key Responsibilities will Include:

  • Create detailed business plans designed to attain predetermined goals and quotas.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to securing the sale.
  • Unearth new sales opportunities through networking and turn them into long-term partnerships.
  • Effectively present products to prospective clients.
  • Provide professional after-sales support to maximize customer loyalty.
  • Remain in regular contact with your clients to understand and meet their needs to nurture and grow existing partnerships.
  • Collaborate across the company to respond to complaints and resolve issues to the customer’s satisfaction in order to maintain the company’s reputation.
  • Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data.
  • Communicate and report on successes and obstacles to overcome.
  • The role is a remote position with some travel expected for in-person meetings and/or conferences. 

 

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • You are comfortable helping to lead complex contract negotiations.
  • You have the ability to lead analysis-driven negotiation processes and have proven closing skills (internal or external).
  • You have analytical and quantitative skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • You can operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Professional.
  • Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles.
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CRM software (eg. Salesforce) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Superior organizational and time-management skills.
  • Highly developed business acumen.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about sales.
  • High School diploma required, BSc or BA in business administration, sales or marketing preferred.
  • Experience working with brand manufacturers (both large and emerging brands).
  • Experience selling software solutions and/or marketing solutions.
