The Weapons Storage and Security System (WS3), Vault Modernization Program (VMP), modernizes vaults at various locations worldwide, addressing issues such as vault-unlock codes, diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages, and maintenance capabilities.
Key objectives of the project include developing a Vault Unlock Management System (VUMS), designing a Vault Motion Control System (VMCS), and implementing a Maintenance Data Network System (MDNS) to achieve NSA Certification and Nuclear Certification.

The Role:
The Configuration Analyst Sr Principle will be responsible for leading the configuration management process for the VMP, ensuring all requirements, design and changes to the system are properly documented, approved, and implemented.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement configuration management plans, procedures, and standards, including those related to NSA Certification and Nuclear Certification
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to identify and document configuration items, including those related to Vault Unlock Management System (VUMS), Vault Motion Control System (VMCS), and Maintenance Data Network System (MDNS)
  • Analyze and assess the impact of changes to the system configuration, including those related to cyber-security and nuclear surety
  • Develop and maintain configuration management databases and documentation, including those related to Requirements Verification and Traceability Matrix (RVTM)
  • Ensure designs prevent obsolescence and DMSMS impacts currently affecting systems

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor with 8+ years of experience (+6 years with Masters), preferably in an engineering, defense or aerospace program
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with configuration management tools and software, including Cameo and SysML
  • Must be able to obtain Secret (or higher) security clearance
  • Capable of creating required engineering documentation using Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Access
  • Able to obtain Top Secret (or higher) security clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience in testing, commissioning and validation activities
  • Familiar with Department of Defense programs
  • Experience in requirement management software such as CAMEO
  • Project Management Professional Certification

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $120874 - $205486
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
