As a Workday AMS Talent & Learning Consultant at Kainos, you’ll lead the ongoing support, configuration, and enhancement of Workday HCM solutions for our global clients. Specializing in Workday Talent, with interest and experience in Workday Learning - you’ll act as a subject matter expert within the AMS team.  

You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to our customers, delivering tailored, strategic solutions that align with their evolving business needs. This role blends deep functional expertise, client advisory, hands-on configuration, and leadership.  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Deliver expert configuration and support in Workday Talent & Learning 

  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, building relationships, offering strategic advice and ensuring high-quality, creative solutions.  

  • Proactively advise on dependencies, cross-stream implications, and maintenance concerns. 

  • Own the configuration of complex initiatives and guide clients to appropriately test. 

  • Mentor junior consultants, promoting capability development across the team.  

  • Manage competing priorities across multiple clients, proactively communicating about completion dates and blockers. 

  • Provide suggestions to improve the configuration and user experience within Workday. 

Minimum Requirements 

  • Workday certification and/or significant hands-on experience configuring Talent and another functional area, preferably Learning, or related experience in another system, e.g. SuccessFactors or similar. 

  • Solid understanding of related Workday functional areas beyond your core specialty.  

  • Proven success in a client-facing consulting role or client-side HRIS team. 

  • Strong customer engagement and communication skills, including experience presenting to senior stakeholders.  

  • Commercial awareness and understanding of consulting project dynamics.  

  • Ability to manage service delivery risk and lead cross-functional workshops and strategic discussions.
