Job Summary:
Next Generation, Inc, an Equal-Opportunity Employer, is seeking an experienced Workday Financials Functional Consultant to support the implementation and optimization of Workday Financial modules across diverse industries. This remote role requires a strong understanding of financial processes, Workday configuration, and client engagement. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to deliver tailored Workday solutions that enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis – Collaborate with business users to collect, analyze, and document functional requirements for Workday Financials
- Solution Design & Configuration – Design and configure Workday Financial modules including but not limited to Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, and Cash Management
- Implementation Support – Participate in full-cycle Workday implementations, including testing, data conversion, UAT, and go-live support
- Process Optimization – Recommend improvements to financial workflows and reporting using Workday best practices and automation capabilities
- Training & Documentation – Develop training materials, conduct user training sessions, and provide post-implementation support
- Integration Management – Work with technical teams to ensure seamless integration between Workday Financials and other enterprise systems
- Compliance & Reporting – Ensure financial systems meet regulatory requirements and support business intelligence through custom reporting and dashboards
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Workday Financials, including at least 2+ full-cycle implementations
- Strong understanding of financial operations and accounting principles
- Hands-on experience with Workday configuration and business process setup
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate business needs into functional solutions and collaborate with technical teams
- Workday Financials certification is required
Job Benefits
Competitive FTE salary range based on experience, education and geographical location of $100,000-130,000 USD.
