Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Workday Product Owner to lead the functional vision and backlog during end-to-end Workday implementations. This role is critical in translating business requirements into scalable, deployable Workday solutions while ensuring alignment with implementation timelines and best practices.

The ideal candidate brings deep functional expertise, strong stakeholder management skills, and proven experience across full lifecycle Workday implementations.

Key ResponsibilitiesImplementation Leadership
  • Act as the functional owner across the full implementation lifecycle:
    • Discovery
    • Design
    • Build
    • Test
    • Deploy
  • Drive solution design aligned with Workday best practices, minimizing over-customization
  • Lead design workshops and solution validation sessions
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with:
    • Functional consultants
    • Integration teams
    • Client stakeholders
  • Act as the primary point of contact for functional decision-making
  • Serve as an escalation point during deployment and implementation phases
Delivery & Execution
  • Ensure readiness for key milestones:
    • Conference Room Pilots (CRPs)
    • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
    • Go-live
  • Own backlog management, feature prioritization, and scope control
  • Drive alignment between business needs and system capabilities
Required Qualifications
  • 7–12+ years of experience within the Workday ecosystem
  • Minimum 2–3 full lifecycle Workday implementations (mandatory)
  • At least 2+ years with a Workday partner organization
  • Strong functional expertise in one or more modules:
    • Payroll
    • Absence
    • Time Tracking
    • Financials
  • Proven experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models
  • Active Workday certifications with willingness to transfer to E1
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Workday configuration vs. customization boundaries
    • Implementation methodologies, accelerators, and templates
