The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, Meridian Partners seeks a seasoned and client-focused Workday HCM Consultant (Senior) with experience supporting public sector clients. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on Workday HCM expertise along with a strong understanding of government HR practices. You will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable HCM solutions tailored to the unique requirements of public institutions.

Responsibilities

Workday Configuration & Solution Design

  • Configure and deploy Workday HCM modules (Core HCM, Job Profiles, Positions, Organizations, Compensation, etc.) in alignment with public sector regulatory and organizational needs.
  • Translate complex HR business processes into efficient Workday solutions, ensuring compliance with public sector policies, union agreements, and audit requirements.

Stakeholder Collaborations & Functional Leadership 

  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and functional leads to gather requirements, document configurations, and deliver enhancements and updates.
  • Lead or support functional workstreams during Workday implementations, optimizations, or Phase X rollouts for public entities

Testing, Deployment & Production Support 

  • Conduct testing activities (unit, integration, UAT), support data conversion, and assist with validation and reconciliation processes.
  • Provide ongoing production support and troubleshoot system issues post go-live.

Security, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure that Workday security roles and domain policies reflect proper segregation of duties and public sector compliance standards
  • Stay up to date with Workday releases and assess impacts for public sector clients.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active Workday HCM Core Implementer Certification is REQUIRED
  • 5+ years of Workday implementer experience, including configuration and deployment of Core HCM and related modules
  • 3+ full-cycle Workday implementations
  • 2+ years leading workstream implementations
  • 3+ years Public Sector experience within state or local agencies working with or implementing Workday
  • Understanding of public sector HR structures, collective bargaining agreements, civil service rules, and position management frameworks.
  • Experience with Workday business processes, condition rules, and calculated fields.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience

Pay Transparency

Compensation for roles at Meridian varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific practice, role, skillset, and level of experience. As required by law, Meridian provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired.

Base Salary Range is $140,000 to $170,000 plus bonus is available for this specific role
