YouTube Video Editor - PrayerSong

Snowball is seeking a YouTube Video Editor to craft deeply moving long-form content for PrayerSong, a mission-driven platform focused on spreading love, hope, and connection through music and storytelling.

PrayerSong produces content intended to comfort, uplift, and inspire. Their work focuses on authentic stories that resonate across cultures and beliefs, emphasizing compassion, healing, and emotional connection.

Mission alignment is critical. The ideal editor cares deeply about creating work that helps people feel understood, supported, and connected. This role is not purely technical. Much of the storytelling power emerges in how the narrative is shaped, paced, and felt.

As Video Editor, you will transform raw material into cohesive, emotionally powerful narratives with strong pacing, clarity, and retention. You will play a central creative role in shaping the viewer’s experience.

You will work closely with the producer and creative team to refine story structure, highlight authentic moments, and ensure each piece resonates deeply.

This role reports directly to PrayerSong, with Snowball providing YouTube strategy and creative support.

• Edit long-form YouTube content with strong emotional impact and narrative clarity

• Shape story arcs through pacing, music, and structure to create meaningful connection

• Identify and elevate authentic, vulnerable moments

• Collaborate with producers to refine tone and storytelling approach

• Deliver polished final videos and supporting assets

• Maintain organized project files and consistent delivery timelines

• Use audience insights to improve retention while preserving emotional authenticity

• Balance subtlety and restraint with powerful storytelling choices

• 3–5+ years of professional editing experience with a strong storytelling portfolio; YouTube experience strongly preferred

• Demonstrated ability to craft emotionally resonant narratives

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or comparable tools

• Strong understanding of pacing, tone, and narrative structure for YouTube

• Experience with documentary, human-interest, or interview-driven content

• Excellent taste and restraint in music and editorial choices

• Detail-oriented with a high bar for polish and emotional authenticity

• Comfortable working independently in a remote production environment

• Background in documentary, nonprofit, or purpose-driven media

• Experience editing content involving sensitive or personal topics

• Strong intuition for music selection and sound design that supports emotional storytelling
