Kony raises $26M in amended funding

According to an SEC filing with the state, Austin-based software firm Kony raised $26 million this week from 14 undisclosed investors. The funding is tied to a previous $470,000 raised in June of last year. Kony launched in Austin in 2007 and develops apps for companies around the world. It has grown to nearly 1,300 employees worldwide. The company did not release a statement about the funding. [FormDs]

ScaleFactor secures $10M in funding

Fintech startup ScaleFactor announced it has raised $10 million in funding on Tuesday, in a round led by Connecticut-based Canaan Partners. The company, which provides small and medium-sized businesses with tools like automated bookkeeping, will use the capital to hire across its sales, marketing and product dev teams and toward platform enhancements. RF Code closes another $6.6M

RF Code, the Austin-based data center solutions provider, raised $6.6 million in funding from nine undisclosed investors on Monday. The company, which has secured over $20 million in funding since its launch in 1997, did not issue a statement. [FormDs]

Favor founders raise $1.5M seed round for new startup Sunroom

Ben Doherty and Zac Maurais, the co-founders of Austin startup success story Favor, have announced the launch of their latest venture, Sunroom, and a fresh $1.5 million seed round to go along with it. Founders Fund Angel, Tim Draper of Draper Associates, Joshua Baer of Capital Factory, Active Capital and Boost.VC led the investment. Sunroom offers an on-demand rental marketplace that allows users to locate rentable condos, apartments and houses, book tours and then apply directly from the site. The service is free for renters. Sputnik ATX announces next cohort

Sputnik ATX, an Austin accelerator that launched earlier this year, just announced the startups that will participate in its next class. The summer cohort will include TeacherTalent, LAMIK, AI Maps, BoardMaps and NewChip. All five Texas-based startups will participate in Sputnik’s three-month curriculum. Each startup will receive $100,000 from Sputnik and will present to a team of investors at a demo day following completion of the curriculum. [Press Release]

Everfest launches new ticket rewards program

Everfest, the Austin startup supporting the global festival industry, recently launched a ticket rewards program similar to those of Hotels.com and Fandango. Through the platform, festivalgoers can earn points from purchasing tickets to any festival, regardless of the promoter or ticketing platform. GLG plans major Austin expansion

GLG announced last week its plans to double its existing Austin office space to four floors at 301 Congress Ave., with room for up to 730 employees.
