Mythic raised $30 million to introduce its AI processors to the market. Mythic’s new technology brings data center-like power to portable devices. Along with the new funds, the company has announced additions to its leadership team to drive growth. [Built In Austin]

Athena Security raised $5.5 million seed round. The company’s AI platform integrates with security cameras to detect weapons quickly and accurately. Athena Security has been selling its product to schools, and now Fortune 500 companies want in. The company plans to grow from 30 to 40 people in the next few months. [Built In Austin]

Virtuix opened a new VR arena in Dave and Buster’s in Austin. Virtuix’s new Omniverse VR arena can support up to four players and will let players walk and run within virtual worlds, all while staying still. [Venture Beat]

Austin-based Skills Fund was acquired by Goal Structure Solutions. The financing platform for bootcamps partners with more than 70 schools and 400 programs. Having previously raised $11.5 million in seed funding, Skills Fund will continue to operate out of Austin. [Silicon Hills News]

Opcity opened a second tech hub in Austin. Opcity, the AI real estate platform, will place its new office in the heart of Austin at 901 E. 6th St. As the company continues to grow, it will house 200 employees in the space. [Built In Austin]

Elsewhere Partners unveiled plans for its $70 million fund. The co-founder of Elsewhere Partners, Chris Pacitti, told the Austin Business Journal that the new fund will be put toward “expansion-stage software companies” to produce 10 to 12 total investments. [Austin Business Journal]

Two big hires for piLYTIXSport’s executive team. Jon DeLord has joined the team as president and Dyle Douglas as senior data scientist. DeLord will be responsible for overseeing domestic and international revenue growth. Douglas will be working to optimize the AI sports company’s product set. [Yahoo Finance]

Waldo Photo hired a new VP of sales. The Austin—based artificial intelligence company, which makes it super easy to send photos seamlessly between photographers and customers, hired Joshua Bowden to head up its sales team. Bowden brings with him extensive experience leading teams in the tech scene. [Press Release]
