Whether you're new to the community or a seasoned veteran, there are lots of events this week to get out there and network within the startup community in Austin. 

Website Design Best Practices & How to Implement them in Wordpress, April 20 at 7 p.m.

If you’re new to WordPress and want to learn how to build an awesome site, look no further. This presentation will teach you the basics of website design and how to implement what you learn into Wordpress. Be sure to bring your laptop.

Intro to the Austin Startup Scene Happy Hour, April 21 at 5:30 p.m.

Whether you’re just looking to get involved in the tech scene or you’re already nose deep, this is a great opportunity to meet some interesting people. Just before the happy hour there is an ‘Intro to the Austin Startup Scene and Ask Me Anything’ meeting, which will fill in the uninitiated on everything they need to know about the scene.

How to Land a Job in Tech, April 21 at 7 p.m.

Brought to you by Built in Austin and General Assembly, this panel will tell you all you need to know about how to get that job you've always dreamed of. You’ll get to hear from local representatives of tech companies like Dropbox, Atlassian, and Facebook. There’s even a happy hour after the panel.

Austin Music Tech Monthly Meetup, April 21 at 7 p.m.

What is living in Austin without tech and music? This monthly meetup brings together people passionate about music and tech. Ride your bike or run to the event and you’ve achieved the Austin trifecta.

Feminist Hack ATX Panel Discussion, April 22 at 6:15 p.m.

This is Feminist Hack ATX’s first panel event. It will feature local female tech leaders who have succeeded in attracting, promoting and retaining women on their teams. Email the organizers ahead of time to make sure the panelists answer your questions.
