Place, an Austin startup that has developed a business planning software for early-stage SaaS startups, announced Tuesday that it raised $3.25 million. This latest round brings its fundraising total to nearly $10 million to date.

Place co-founders Brandon Metcalf and Kabe VanderBaan launched the startup in 2018 to solve the biggest challenges they experienced in their 15 years of running SaaS companies.

The Salesforce-based platform combines revenue management, financial forecasting and budgeting inside the same operating system used by sales, marketing and support teams.

Metcalf said in a statement that the software allows companies to generate usage and subscription revenue faster, make their capital more efficient and get more agile in their decision-making.

Place will be expanding its senior management team and is actively recruiting a vice president of marketing and a vice president of engagement to advance product development, customer success and growth.

The round was led by Geekdom Fund with participation from 7BC Venture Capital and other investors.

Mike Troy, managing director of Geekdom Fund, said in a statement that Place plans to expand its product for small- and medium-sized businesses, which he said will deliver even more value to customers.
