Responsibilities:

Leading the company's strategic growth initiatives, being mindful of both volume and profit in the Value Channel, emphasizing on Key Accounts.  Responsible for achieving sales goals and strategic objectives within the channel.  Effectively manage the relationship with customers in the channel, lead negotiations, and influence alignment with Barcel. Analyzes business environment to develop annual strategic plans for customers as a Strategic Joint Business Plan partner.

What Will I Be Doing
• Act with urgency, integrity, and passion.
• Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel at assigned customers at all levels.
• Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, management resources, to meet account performance objectives and customer's expectations within the Value Channel.
• Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
• Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs, while collaborating and coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
• Deliver annual volume, trade spends, and profit plan.
• On-going analysis and review of business trends to identify gaps to plan and execution.
• Actively participate in Annual Planning and Forecast processes.
• Develop annual promotion plan while adhering to National Account Trade Spending Plan, and ensure flawless execution through consistent customer engagement and buy-in.
• Support customer payment processing including financial contracts and collections.
• Actively coordinate and ensure efficiency of customer Joint Business Planning (JBP) process, assortment & segmentation (POG) reviews, and scorecard sessions using relevant fact-based selling
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of strategic sales experience: preferably with a consumer-packaged goods organization.
• National account fact-based direct selling experience required
• Value Channel experience preferred
• Knowledgeable of Warehouse replenishment programs and supply chain 
requirements.
• Frequently participated in successful strategic joint business planning sessions with major CPG retail accounts
• Able to influence external and internal constituents and work effectively in cross-functional environment.
• Proven track record of effective trade expense management.
• Demonstrated skillful negotiation capability with Buyers and Senior Buyers in the retail CPG industry
• Ability to gather insights from data & translate them into compelling sales presentations.
• Ability to create effective and dynamic presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Solid understanding of financials including P&L impact of sales decisions.
• Commitment and ability to succeed within a complex organization.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) - Preferred
• Great Interpersonal Skills.
• Detail & Results Oriented.
• Availability to Travel: Inside the Country 25%
•  Location: Nashville, TN 
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
