TEAM OVERVIEW:

  • The Logistics Data Management team is responsible for the administration of all Applied Materials’ logistics data.  We help to ensure that shipments made by Applied Materials and our suppliers are compliant to our routing guides.  We capture and report the tracking details for all our shipments.  We manage the data capture, audit, and payment of our logistics invoices – transportation, brokerage, and crating.  Finally, we manage the in-house reporting tools that contain all this information, for the use of our internal customers.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in SQL and/or Python
  • Hands‑on exposure to Tableau or Power BI
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data cleaning, lookups)
  • Familiarity with Databricks or similar cloud analytics platforms

REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Systems / Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering
  • GPA requirements 3.0 and above preferred
  • Ability to manage large datasets and combine information from multiple sources
  • Ability to support ongoing analytics needs, including maintaining dashboards, recurring reports, and ad-hoc analyses
  • Strong communication skills

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
