The Opportunity: 

We are seeking an Account Director to architect, expand, and elevate strategic brand partnerships across high-growth merchant verticals. Operating at the intersection of performance marketing and commercial strategy, you will drive revenue expansion, negotiate high-value campaigns, and serve as a trusted advisor to top-tier retail brands, media agencies, and affiliate networks.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Commercial Growth & Prospecting: Identify, cultivate, and close high-value partnerships, leading full-lifecycle business development to meet and exceed revenue benchmarks

  • Strategic Campaign Architecture: Design and pitch data-backed digital media and content strategies, positioning our full suite of performance marketing products to solve complex merchant acquisition goals

  • Portfolio Management: Serve as the primary commercial advisor for an assigned portfolio, continuously unlocking incremental budget through optimization, cross-selling, and renewal strategies

  • Ecosystem Collaboration: Partner strategically with affiliate networks, digital agencies, and internal cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Analytics, Operations) to co-create market-leading solutions

  • Forecasting & Revenue Operations: Leverage advanced analytics tools to track pipeline health, model performance projections, and deliver accurate executive forecasts

 

Job Qualifications: 

 

  • Proven Track Record: 3–6+ years driving performance marketing, digital media sales, or strategic account management, with a consistent history of quota attainment and revenue ownership

  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the e-commerce landscape, retail performance models (CPA, CPC, Affiliate), and the broader digital advertising ecosystem

  • Executive Presence: Exceptional communication skills with a demonstrated ability to command a room, influence C-suite/VP decision-makers, and articulate complex value propositions

  • Analytical Aptitude: A structured, data-fluent problem solver capable of translating complex metrics into actionable commercial strategies

  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with enterprise CRMs and business intelligence platforms (Salesforce, Tableau)

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field

Compensation Range 

Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The OTE compensation for this role is $135,000 to $185,000 depending on experience. Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education and training, as well as business and company performance.
