Verily exists to bring the promise of precision health to everyone everyday, and our breadth of solutions of care, research, health financing, and population health monitoring serve customers across various market segments. 

We are seeking a high-energy, relentless hunter to drive new business growth for our precision health platform with previous commercial success and ownership over bookings and revenue. In this role, you will drive an end-to-end sales cycle—from prospecting and cold outreach to navigating complex healthcare buying committees and closing deals.


As the Account Executive for Life Sciences, you will own the account relationship across all Verily offerings, and be responsible for managing the sales process to bring Verily’s solutions to new and existing small and medium clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech and disease organization sectors. Your role will include proactively hunting for new clients with cold and warm outreach; establishing a deep understanding of our product offerings and value; and understanding customer needs and procurement processes to close deals and execute contracts.  You will need to work collaboratively with the broader Commercial team, Marketing, and Delivery to manage a breadth of client opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Create and manage an active pipeline of net new client opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound leads, marketing and event campaigns and existing client relationships.
  • Spearhead sales initiatives that drive revenue growth in small and medium clients, from initial lead generation to successful deal closure. 
  • Collaborate with Technical Sales and Implementation partners across Verily in the strategic sales processes from lead generation to close, including presenting value propositions, identifying and addressing partner needs, negotiating business terms, and executing contracts.
  • Gather valuable feedback from customers and partners on pricing, market challenges, innovation and the competitive landscape. Hold ultimate responsibility for bookings and revenue generation for the accounts of your purview.
  • Collaborate across the Verily organization to achieve personal goals, team objectives and company milestones.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or related field. Plus 15+ years of relevant experience in Enterprise sales or business development focused on Technology SaaS, Real Word Data or Life Sciences services.
  • Deep understanding of technical and data needs in small and medium pharmaceutical, biotech, medical technology, and disease organizations. 
  • Experience selling complex solutions and driving significant revenue growth.
  • Highly consultative, hands on and collaborative.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills.

  • Proven ability to work with complex, technical software and service offerings, and processes involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to take initiative, work efficiently and respond quickly to changes and a dynamic environment.
  • A positive attitude, open mind, entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to collaborate and learn.

  • Experience with Google suite of productivity applications (gMail, gCalendar, Sheets, Slides, Docs).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000 - $220,500 + bonus  + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
