The Opportunity

The $1.2T automotive industry is a pillar of American culture, representing nearly 5% of U.S. GDP and shaping how people live and move every day. At the center of this ecosystem are dealerships—trusted local businesses that help consumers navigate one of the most important purchases they make.

Today, the industry is at an inflection point. Consumers expect the same speed, personalization, and convenience they experience in modern digital-first industries. At the same time, tighter margins and rising costs are driving a need for operational efficiency beyond what traditional software can support. Together, these shifts create a powerful opportunity to reimagine how dealerships deliver seamless experiences and build lasting customer relationships.

Dealers who modernize how they communicate and operate will unlock efficiency, deepen loyalty, and win long-term relationships. It is time to upgrade automotive retail to the 21st century.

About Mia

Mia Labs is an investor-backed startup on a mission to modernize dealership operations and transform the automotive consumer experience. Our AI agent, Mia, turns every call or inquiry into an opportunity, improving customer satisfaction and dealership performance through automation that feels human. We are trusted by some of the nation's largest dealership groups and are rapidly scaling our team, product offerings, and customer base.

Who You Are:

You are a results-driven sales professional who excels at closing new business and driving revenue growth. You communicate clearly, create structure in ambiguity, and build trust with dealership executives, demonstrating the value of complex AI products with confidence and strategic acumen.

What you will do:

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead qualification through complex contract negotiation and closing.

  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas by acquiring net-new customers in the automotive dealership sector.

  • Develop deep product knowledge to clearly articulate the business value and ROI of Mia’s conversational AI solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Partner closely with the Client Success and Solutions Engineering teams to ensure a seamless technical transition and adoption for new clients.

  • Identify and execute expansion opportunities within new accounts by recognizing unmet customer needs and aligning them with Mia’s evolving suite of AI products and features.

  • Drive incremental revenue growth through proactive cross-selling of new automation modules and upselling higher-tier service plans that maximize dealership ROI.

  • Use data, analytics tools, and ROI modeling to build compelling, actionable business cases for prospective clients.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of successful quota-carrying experience in B2B SaaS sales, selling technical products into complex, multi-location operators (e.g., retail, healthcare, restaurants, etc.) where the pattern of complexity matters more than the specific vertical.

  • Proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals and managing a high-volume sales pipeline.

  • Strong technical aptitude—comfortable understanding integrations, telephony systems, CRM data, and automation workflows.

  • Exceptional negotiation skills and client-facing confidence, capable of presenting to executive-level audiences.

  • Organized, process-driven, and effective in fast-moving startup environments.

  • Proven ability to act as a "pipeline builder," not a "pipeline inheritor," with a verifiable track record of successful cold prospecting and net-new customer acquisition.

  • Comfortable operating and thriving in an early-stage (Series A/B) environment, demonstrating an ability to "build the plane while flying it" and create structure in ambiguous, rapidly evolving situations.

Nice to haves

  • Experience with dealership operations or automotive systems is a plus.

  • Familiarity with conversational AI, LLMs, or automation technologies.

  • Strong understanding of dealership workflows across sales and service.

  • Prior experience selling AI or automation-driven products.

Why Mia
  • Equity participation through stock options.

  • Fully paid health, vision & dental insurance for employees.

  • Flexible PTO and hybrid schedule (3 days / week in downtown Austin).

  • Free lunches, parking stipend provided, team events, and a casual, but get things done culture.

Compensation
  • Compensation for this position will be competitive with current market rates and reflective of the candidate's experience, skills and qualifications.

Our Commitment

At Mia, we’re committed to a workplace where everyone is valued, included, and empowered to do their best work. Our strength comes from diverse experiences, perspectives, and skills, and we’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer.

Passionate about the role but don’t tick every box? We’d still love to hear from you, you might be exactly who we need.

Mia is an EVerify employer.
