Job Summary: The Account Manager is an energetic role focused on hunting for new opportunities, driving growth, and managing our Tier 2/3 customers. You are responsible for prospecting new business, servicing existing customers, and building customized quotes, all while closing orders at the highest margins possible. Account managers must be able to thrive in a team environment; give and receive support within the sales team as well as collaborate with all departments. You will be expected to operate with absolute urgency while not sacrificing accuracy to deliver the best possible customer experience. Quick learners who demonstrate confidence in their daily decision making process, yet still open to guidance and coaching, will be successful in this position.

Competencies:

  • Domain Knowledge: Understands core product features, pricing and basic industry terminology.

  • Proactivity: Follows up on assigned leads and identifies and pursues new business opportunities independently.

  • Autonomy/Guidance: Requires frequent guidance and direct instruction on sales processes and pricing.

  • Decision Making: Makes routine, low-risk decisions

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly gross profit sales goals.

  • Maintain existing accounts and business while also bringing in new business.

  • Assist senior account managers in managing client accounts and projects, serving as a vital communication link between the customer and the company.

  • Prepare presentations, track project progress, and research new ways to foster positive client relationships.

  • Deputize for senior account managers in the event they are indisposed.

  • Complete a predetermined quota of outgoing sales calls while also answering incoming calls and emails.

  • Provide exceptional customer service with both your personality and technical sales skills.

Outcomes

  • High volume of pipeline generation.

  • Consistent quota of outbound activity.

  • Successful onboarding of Tier 2/3 accounts.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 1-3 years of sales experience or account support experience

Physical Requirements

  • Remote position, but must be able to travel 5% of the time.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to occasionally lift, push, or pull 25 pounds, occasionally bending and reaching.

  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000, OTE: $130,000 - $150,000
