Core Accounting Responsibilities

We need someone who can take ownership of our day-to-day accounting and monthly financial processes, including:

  • QuickBooks Online management and transaction coding

  • Full monthly bookkeeping and month-end close

  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable

  • Processing monthly bills, checks and electronic payments for approval

  • Employee/member reimbursements

  • Payroll processing/accounting, payroll journal entries, benefits and 401(k)

  • Bank and credit card reconciliations

  • Oversight and reconciliation of our operating, money market, CD, PAC and investment accounts

  • Budgeting, forecasting and budget-to-actual reporting

  • Monthly financial statements and Board-ready financial reporting

  • Organized digital financial records and supporting documentation

  • Coordination with our outside CPA/tax firm

  • Audit/review support

  • Strong internal controls and identification of discrepancies or unusual transactions



Requirements


  • Associates Degree or higher in accounting or business

  • 5-7 years of accounting experience      

  • With experience using Quick-books 

  • High attention to detail

  • Proven ability to meet monthly deadlines

  • Experience working in an ERP software environment

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and other Microsoft Office software

  • Dependable and reliable, and able to work flexible hours and overtime. 

  • Ability to multi-task  

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and dealing with internal and external customers

  • Good organizational skills, keeping work area clean and well organized
