The AI Engagement Manager at SoftSnow will manage client relationships, translate business challenges into project plans, ensure quality execution, and lead discovery sessions while optimizing communication between clients and AI engineering teams.
This is a remote position.
SoftSnow is a fast-growing AI consulting startup on a mission to help businesses cut through the noise of AI adoption and unlock real, measurable value. SoftSnow is the leading AI transformation partner for mid-market companies, helping to strategically leverage AI to transform business operations, achieve unparalleled efficiency, and foster sustainable growth.
Position Overview
SoftSnow is looking for a seasoned client-facing professional to own and drive client engagements from kickoff through delivery. In this AI Engagement Manager role, you will be responsible for owning client relationships, translating business challenges into actionable project plans, and ensuring high-quality execution in partnership with our AI engineering team. You will be the vital link between client vision and technical execution. This role requires a seasoned professional who can confidently engage with VP and C-suite executives, quickly diagnose business needs, secure trust, and drive complex AI transformation projects to successful completion. You will apply your structure, rigor, and follow-through to empower our highly technical engineering team, optimizing how we coordinate, communicate, and deliver value. This is a high-visibility, career-accelerating opportunity with direct interaction with senior leaders at major companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders—from department heads to C-suite executives—maintaining a proactive communication cadence and ensuring tight alignment across all parties.
- Lead discovery sessions to understand client pain points, operational inefficiencies, and growth opportunities; synthesize findings into clear recommendations the team can act on.
- Build and manage project plans, implementation roadmaps, and phased delivery timelines; proactively identify gaps, risks, and dependencies before they become problems.
- Own creation and quality control of all client-facing deliverables (strategic decks, status updates, project briefs, workflow diagrams), ensuring they are polished, structured, and on-brand.
- Translate client needs into clear requirements for the internal engineering team, bridging the gap between business context and technical execution.
- Oversee delivery quality through solution reviews, client feedback loops, and iteration cycles—ensuring outputs meet the bar and match what was promised.
- Drive execution across multiple concurrent engagements by tracking deliverables and timelines, driving follow-ups and next steps, securing client inputs on time, escalating risks early, and keeping projects on track.
- Help establish and refine internal processes, templates, and communication standards that allow the team to scale without losing quality or speed.
Requirements
Experience:
- 3-5+ years of experience in client services, account management, or project management at a consulting firm, agency, or technology services company.
- Proven track record managing client relationships with senior stakeholders (director-level and above), ideally with exposure to C-suite engagement.
- Background at a top-tier agency, management consultancy, or technology implementation firm strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Comfortable managing ambiguity and biasing toward action—you identify gaps, propose solutions, and move things forward rather than waiting for direction.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to distill complex information for diverse audiences and present confidently to senior leaders. No AI or technical background required—curiosity and willingness to learn are what matter.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills—you are the person who brings structure to ambiguity, creates the tracker before anyone asks, and never lets a detail fall through the cracks.
